Vacu Max Duct Cleaning Corp.

Two very nice young men came to our 4 bedroom, 2 storey house to clean our ducts etc. They both were very pleasant and polite and they explained to us exactly what they were going to be doing. We had a few questions and they answered them in a polite, knowledgeable way. They made sure we understood what they meant by show and tell. Both my husband and I cannot say enough about this experience. We will definitely get Vacumax Air Duct Cleaning to do our house again in a couple of years. We are very, very satisfied with the results of their work. They came in, didn't waste any time and got the job done. We highly recommend them. The owner of the company was also very polite when we called to book this appointment. Anyone would be satisfied with the job this company does.

They came recommended by a friend and we had coupon from a mailer. I booked an appt. and my wife made special arrangements to be off that day. Called the day before to rebook due to a chance of snow the next day. We live in Canada - it snows. Not remotely apologetic. A complete waste of my time and energy.

A big thanks to Jesse for being professional and honest. He arrived on time and inspected the ducts in my somewhat new home. After inspecting, Jesse told me that I would not require a full cleaning as I had originally thought because my ducts were in pretty good shape, but the filter on my furnace needed to be replaced. I opted to have him replace it and clean the ducts wherever he felt it was necessary. I really appreciated the fact that he was upfront and honest with me and didn't try to charge me for a full cleaning when I didn't need it. When all was said and done, he did a great job, the price for his work was fair and I will definately call again.

This was the first time I used vacumax to clean the ducts of my rental property and I am overly impressed by the job they did. I got a flyer in the mail and decided to give them a chance as they other duct cleaner I contracted to do it before did a rather poor job. They were professional and friendly and were in and out in around an hour. I would definately recommend to my friends!

I had my ducts cleaned last week by this company and they did a really good job. The guys taught me a few things, recommended some other services and were personable. I'm very happy and will recommend.

Keith the service guy told my wife that we had black mold and it would cost $1069 on top of our original cost but we could pay cash to avoid taxes. I know it should have been a red flag and I've avoided and exposed scams before but I was at work and and quite bust and distracted when my wife called and told me about the mold.

We paid the money and when I got home and got the rest of the story from my wife I pieced it together and realized how badly we were taken.

This Keith character told my wife how he had 2 sets of triplets, was a single dad and his wife was committed to an institution.....story after story to distract my wife. They never put any benefect in our system nor did the chemical come into our house, also I assumed if there was mold that they would have been there for several hours and I would have been home to see what they were doing.

....to top it all off I found out afterwards through investigating the vents that they never removed 3 of them nor one of the cold return vents. I know for a fact because 2 of them are glued to my ceiling in the basement and were not taken down.

I called the service manager Jason at their support number (647 453 6500) and he has yet to speak with me. Conveniently he is on vacation until Feb 4th.

I am not letting them get away with my money and for anyone that has been ripped off by these guys add me on Facebook - Wade Loder in Oakville. We can get together and if we can prove a pattern of illegal behaviour by comparing stories we can start a lawsuit against them.

If you don't want to join me in doing this call the Ministry of Consumer Services @ 416-326-8600 (The more people that call the better.) and there are a number of private investigators if you feel it's worth going that far.

These guys rely on people being embarrassed or ashamed of being scammed. I am not one of them. I made a big mistake trusting them and now I'm going after my money.

I have also found out they run under many different company names and websites which homestars will not publish even though I have all the proof. Do a search for the phone numbers on the vacumax.ca website and you will see all the other sites that pop-up....mind blowing.

Also, don't believe any of the addresses provided on their sites. I went to their Burlington location. Not only does the office not exist but the postal code for the Burlington location is in Barrie. I have attached a picture of the address from a receipt. If you think I'm making this up by all means contact me and I will walk you through everything I have found to date.
