Turnbull Masonry Ltd is a family-run business known for its reliable work. They adhered to the agreed price and schedule, with friendly workers who were present daily and responsive to my inquiries. They even assisted a neighbor when their property was affected by the work.

The project involved removing paint from the entire house, before extensive brick repair could be begin. This was complex and required coordination with neighbors due to proximity concerns. The most significant challenge was the paint removal, which the contractor handled fairly well despite difficult weather conditions.

However, I encountered some issues. The safest (for the brick, not humans) method for paint removal is using industrial-strength remover and power washing, but I received vague advice about staying in the house during the process. I should have moved out. Weeks later, I still notice a lingering smell. Despite requesting Material Safety Data Sheets multiple times, so I could get a handle on what chemicals were entering the house, I was told they couldn't be located, which is concerning since these sheets are mandatory for workers and should be available to customers. Additionally, the cleaning process inevitably damaged adjacent painted surfaces and caulking, leading to unexpected repair costs for me.

Once the paint was removed, they did a fine job ensuring the final work met my expectations within the budget.

Smart, kind, and very fastand the work (parging the side of our home) is excellent.

This was to fill in some gaps with mortar and replace some older bricks which have deteriorated. The job was quoted as probably a 4 days but was completed in 3.

The masons said the number of bricks replaced exceeded the quoted number. Unfortunately there were a few outstanding chipped bricks. I was only able to see this after the scaffolding was torn down and I could get a clearer view of the job done. I would have have been willing to pay extra to have the few bricks repaired. As a result, the job doesnt look as nice as it probably could have. Clean-up could have been a bit better as there was still debris in some areas.

This job was in the middle of a spell of a heat wave, so I appreciated the sweat and effort.

A job very well done. Appreciated that alternative solutions to the job I requested were provided.

Had a leak in my Chimney that required checking, pointing and replacing the caps. Clint showed up immediately and I had a very reasonable quote from him as well. Once I approved the quote, they showed up very next day and did a really good job of fixing everything, cleaning up after and showed me all what they did.
I am extremely satisfied with the work and would highly recommend them for any work you may have.

I had noticed lots of wasps going in and out of small defects in the masonry on the east side of our brick house. UH OH I thought....
I called Turnbull and they came promptly to assess the problem. The next day a young gentleman came to our home and fixed the masonry. Every defect was repaired.
I was happy with the work and will call Turnbull again if I have any issues with the masonry of our home.
