Myself and a neighbor hired Paul Falco and his team to install interlocking front walkways and backyard patios on our properties. Paul suggested a different but more expensive type of stone rather than the standard seen around our block, and it paid off in dividends. The look of the better stone is definitely worth more than what we paid and it ended up being an excellent choice (Also, he bought local in the area).

Myself and my neighbor also differed in designs, with my neighbor going for more curves and shapes, while I wanted straight lines. Paul was able to accommodate both of us, and give us each exactly the look that we wanted. When I decided to install a fire pit, Paul chose one that meshed with my design idea, and decided to place it in a desirable position too on the patio, half on the grass and half in the stone.

He and his staff were always punctual, very hard working, and a pleasure to deal with. They toiled all day on some of the hottest days of the year and even came in over the weekend, working straight until the job was finished. For a small lot/driveway and considering I had to come and go from my house numerous times throughout the day while they worked, they were always courteous to me and never got in my way.

The finished product looked amazing, surpassed my expectations and they made sure to clean up everything properly afterwards including putting in new sod and grass where it was dug up or damaged during installation. The product was extremely sturdy as well and looks like it will last a long time as opposed to other walkways on my block which are already sinking or wavy. Paul and his team addressed every weakness, whether it be deeper excavation or even building a retaining wall for my patio in the back because of a steep drop-off in grading. Overall an excellent job and I would recommend to anybody and everybody.

It is a 100% right decision to have Paul (Falco Landscape) for this project. Paul shows professionalism and accountability at jobsite, he and his team are dedicated to making thing right and will finish the product until you satisfy. After contacting several landscape contractors, we were very happy to have found Falco Landscaping thru the Homestars website. From the first meeting, Paul exuded knowledge, reliability and accountability. Since my husband and I are both in the architectural field, we gave Paul a detailed plan of a large backyard patio, with 4 lamp piers and 2 big multi-level planters. He helped us choose the various materials which further enhanced the design and gave us a fair price and realistic timeline (it took approx. 10 working days). During the construction, we encountered some damaged sprinkler lines which were quickly repaired. As well, Paul was willing to correct any work which wasn’t “perfect”; he had a high standard of how things should be done. We appreciated that the site was left in a reasonable condition everyday so our young son can play safe outside. Paul and his team were courteous, friendly, and hardworking. If there is any advice we could give is that any extra cost should be discussed at the time it occurs and not left at the end. All in all, the final result turned out beautifully - exactly as we envisioned in our design. We are very pleased with the experience and highly recommend Falco Landscaping.

The standard poured concreate sidewalk, pavers, and horrid scalloped garden edging needed to go! I learned about HomeStars from a friend of mine and that's how I found Paul in the Fall of 2010. He was committed, friendly, and stuck by his quote. He came up with a couple creative options that met my budget and design needs. The final outcome was great! A couple weeks after the project was completed I decided to add two more layers to the dray-stacked wall that divides the walkway from teh front garden. Paul still had some stone but it was too late in the season to do the work. During one of the nice weeks in April Paul showed up and did the job. It was so nice to come home to a completely finished job. Highly recommend Paul and his team.

My wife and I purchased our first home last summer and it needed more than a little attention on the outside. The property was overrun with shrubs, dead trees, over grown gardens and a massive hedge. The backyard included a retaining wall that was rotting and no longer structurally sound. The property in general, was not in good condition and required a significant amount of grading. As such grading, water management and waterproofing the house occurred on exterior walls and window wells were added where necessary. Paul worked with us and devised a plan that worked within our budget and executed it. During the project, we discovered the front porch was pulling away from the house. Paul investigated the problem and came back to us with options that allowed us to move forward with the reconstruction of our front entrance without completely blowing our budget. It’s roughed in right now, but will be completed this summer.

Paul and his crew were respectful of our home and property and even though it was dirty work, they never left a mess. Paul, thank you and your team for turning our first home into something we can be proud of, our neighbours also thank you

Paul Falco and his team were an absolute pleasure to deal with. From the first consultation, we felt that he really listened to what was important to us, and provided solutions that met all of our needs. We were budget-conscious, especially considering we had a fair amount of work to get done, and Paul gave us a quote that included everything we really needed, excluded extras that we didn’t, and included a few embellishments to really enhance the property and personalize it. We had three other quotes and found that we were unhappy with what plans that were discussed and the total overall value we would have gotten with the other landscapers. We hired Paul in August 2010 to redo our driveway with interlock, build a side walkway, and backyard patio. We also needed to redo the front steps which were not level and unsafe.
Paul was prompt, courteous and professional in returning our calls throughout the job, and handling any questions we had. He was happy to provide samples prior to the start of the job so I could make my final colour selections. While the project was underway, Paul was very patient in explaining things when I expressed concerns, and flexible in proceeding so that we would be very happy with the end result. We found he even initiated contact a few times as the job progressed, providing updates before we had the chance to ask, at the end of a long day! Falco Landscaping left the job site very clean and safe at the end of each workday, and the whole team was extremely hardworking throughout their (roughly) two weeks with us.
We’ve had lots of compliments from our neighbours. We can’t wait to put in some greenery next year, and spend time on our new backyard patio. I’ve already recommended this company to one family member, and would definitely have Paul back to do work for us again, without hesitation.
