Save your money and run for the hills - the product and finishing is terrible. Barely a year later (actually 8 months) and we have the "protective" coating stratching everywhere, and it's upstairs, rooms that really only have use at night. We have no pets either. We called them to look at the floors and the owner came to see it, he said he would follow up to see what could be done, but has never called. That was in February. It is now August.
They insist they did the floors of Casa Loma and have had no problems. I am not sure I believe it, we are a quiet family of four and you can't put a laundry basket on the floor without it scatching (we had to put floor protectorpads on the baskets!). It's not their product, it's probably our floors they told me. REALLY? I thought they were in the business of working with old floors. It's a house from the 1960s not the 1860s!
This is a shoddy company. At least the franchise we dealt with. Enjoy their website for its entertainment value and pretty pictures, but know it's not a reality. I knew it was a refinishing job, so my expectations for an old floor that could not be sanded were not too high, but the workmanship is poor despite this. For example, he used white putty to fill in gaps in the wood, you can still see the white over the tinting and "protective coating" that was applied - why wouldn't you use a putty the same colour as the wood. Poor workmanship.
For the same cost, we could have gotten a good quality engineered hardwood or laminate floating floor which would have been 200 per cent better.
Save yourself the money, do not go the route of MR. SANDLESS.
