Our air conditioner packed it in. After a few quotes, we decided on this company. The salesman was great. The install day came. First, the installer was late. I called and was told our unit had to be picked up from a Toronto location and the installer was stuck in traffic, fine. When he arrived, he looked at the existing unit and the area near the furnace. He was going to use the existing lines, claiming they would be flushed out and covered under warranty. They are 20 year old lines. My father, who was at my house, told him no, we wanted the lines replaced since this is what we were told by the salesman. The install seemed to go ok, however, the installer spilled oil on our new driveway (we purchased kitty litter to try to get it out...still trying), there were metal shards on the floor, mud on the floor, putty stuck to the carpet etc. I cleaned that up, fine. Then my husband came home and inspected the unit. They did not replace the slab, which we have on our quote and the unit is not level so when it rains, water is going to pool up against the side of the unit. My husband is leery as there seems to be some wires that are more open than he thinks is safe. And also the new line in the basement is touching an electrical box in the ceiling, which he isn't happy about. So, in all, the salesman was lovely, the installer was nice, but the job is not really to my satisfaction.

Hello Corrie. I appreciate you taking the time to leave the review above and speaking with me on the phone today about the job. As I expressed to you we will be rectifying every aspect of this job at zero cost to you. It is not our intention to ever use the existing lines and I am happy that we did replace them that day, it should not have even been an issue the day of installation, I sincerely apologize for that. In regards to what we spoke of on the phone about the oil spill from the old ac unit, we will be covering all costs to repair your drive way back to the way it original state. Sometimes old 20 year old ac's do that and my crew should have been more prepared to anticipate that, like they are trained to. We will pay for the cost of that cleaning. It is in our installers training to work as neat as possible on all jobs and clean up after so there is no work for you. As you told me on the phone you have already cleaned this up so I would like to extend a $100 refund to you for your time. This is not how my installers are trained and I appreciate your feedback so I can make sure it wont happen again on any other job. I am sending back to you my most Senior Technician from our company to completely look over the job that was done. I am going to instruct him to go over the job with a "fine tooth comb" and rectify anything necessary or even completely re-install the entire job if that what it takes to give you a perfect installation. Also, the concrete slab will be replaced with a brand new one at this time. We do take out Electrical Safety Authority permits out on all jobs so I can guarantee the unit will be safe, but it will be one of the things my Senior Tech will be looking over have re-certified. Thank you again for leaving your feedback on homestars and on the phone with me today. It is very important to us that every job is done to perfection and all customers are completely satisfied, mistakes are sometimes made but I can assure to you that we do take them very seriously and learn from every bit of feedback good or bad. I look forward to scheduling my tech to come to you next week and proving to you that we are a top notch company. Thank you for your patience in this matter. I have given you my cell phone please do not hesitate for a moment to reach out to me any time of day or night if you need anything. - Chris Amodeo, Production, Manager Convertible Htg and AC inc
