Having our bathrooms renovated by Pete from Fun & Function was a fantastic experience. Work was completed on time and exactly as we wanted and we could not be happier with the results. We had a few quotes done and theirs was the best one by far. The workmanship is excellent and we could not be happier. Choosing Fun and Function Renovations has been the most gratifying experience I’ve had in the area of home renovations.

You know that you’ve had the best job done possible when guests are impressed by the workmanship and details to the point they are taking photos with their phone cameras.

Besides a straight forward upgrade of one bathroom another bathroom required custom work in order to provide accessibility for a family member with special needs. This would require removing a wall. I specifically researched companies that did custom work and the first 4 home estimates left me frustrated because I felt I was being offered a general template package.

After contacting Pete of Fun and Function, his response was immediate despite being on holidays. He has an ability to listen and with his knowledge and experience of all aspects of building codes, plumbing, electricity etc. he thoroughly checked things out to assess the possibilities. He came up with a plan that was perfect for the needs that we required.. I was given a thorough explanation of what the job would entail especially of the issues that I hadn’t considered. Pete is very particular about the fact that his customers understand every aspect of what the requirements and costs include.

From the day Pete and his partner Mark arrived you couldn’t help but be impressed by their professionalism, work ethic and attention to detail. They are a highly efficient and conscientious team. Add to that highly personable and thoughtful with a high regard for their customers. It was obvious to me that I was dealing with a team that was high in honesty and integrity.

Bottom line, the results of this job are excellent especially the accessibility customized to the individual which in turn has added independence and ease. The custom bathroom has a warm and inviting look without looking institutionalized as does the other one.

F&F did an excellent job on renovating & expanding my basement bathroom including relocating walls, fixtures and electrical and installation of a steam shower. Pete and Mark are very meticulous with their work and don’t take any shortcuts. They ensured the work area was clean at the end of each day. Pete was very helpful in recommending fixtures, placements, etc. I would definitely engage F&F for future renovations.

We are returning clients for Fun and Function as last year Pete and Mark did an amazing bathroom renovation for us. In August, Mark came back to work on further renovations we needed; new flooring, baseboards and misc. He did another wonderful job and we were very happy once again. We were no longer living in the condo as we moved out of province and Mark did such good work even without us being there and we felt so trusting of them that we didn't worry about it much at all. I'd recommend Pete and Mark to anyone I know that needs renos done. Besides great workmanship they are very nice people. Even during a very busy season they fit our job in at rather short notice. 10 out 10 is well deserved rating!

Here's why Fun and Function (Pete and Mark) deserve 10 out of 10: Reliable, honest, trustworthy, ethical, great guys, straight shooters with tons of great advice, respectful, and above all they are perfectionists who love their craft and love delighting their customers. I simply cannot fault them or their work.

A bit more detail: we had never had a bathroom reno done before and we needed a main bathroom and a powder room to be done to a high standard of finish. Pete gave us tons of advice and helped us with all of the difficult choices without being patronizing. He was very honest and transparent with the quotation and we felt that although he isn't at the cheap end of the market we were getting good value considering we wanted quality products and a quality job. I didn't nickel and dime them, and they didn't nickel and dime me.

A job this big is all about a relationship and we felt we could have such a relationship with Pete. He was flexible with us, and we were flexible in return, and together we figured everything out.

Pete and Mark did the work on time and on budget, they were a pleasure to have in the house, and the quality of their work (including the tile work, installations and plumbing) were superb. They are obsessed with quality and perfection, and they kept on saying how they want every customer to be delighted. We had one slight issue and they dealt with it promptly and professionally, whereas I imagine some companies would have taken my money and never returned afterwards.

In summary, we went into this as very naive homeowners and we ended up with 2 beautiful new bathrooms on time and on budget.

Pete and Mark from Fun and Function Renovations completed a shower reno on our master bathroom walk-in corner shower. The job was fairly extensive and customized. Pete had a straightforward and honest approach throughout the project which we appreciated, as the upgrades we decided on were beyond the original scope of what was planned. Pete commenced the work on the agreed upon date and spent the time to ensure quality results were achieved and that we were satisfied with the job. They did a total rebuild of the shower base and framing, installed a Schluter system, and mounted fixtures in the areas we requested while also providing a professional opinion. Pete and Mark tiled the shower floor with river rock, and re-tiled the walls and ceiling with ceramic tile using precision which resulted in a beautiful outcome. During the 2-week reno, Pete identified problem areas as they cropped up and gave the option of proceeding with him, sourcing the work elsewhere/or completing ourselves. In the end we were very satisfied we used Fun and Function, as the results were excellent and close to budget. We would highly recommend their work and use their services again.

Our home was built in 1976 and the bathroom was mostly original. We had a baby last May, and so, decided it was finally time for an update. Fun and Function came up in an online search, and I'm so glad we decided to hire them for this renovation. I found both Pete and Mark very punctual and polite, they cleaned up after themselves so well you'd hardly know they'd been there, and above all, the work is amazing.

They added a recessed shelf and some accent tile added to the shower/bathtub that looks beautiful and everything was installed quickly and done well. Pete is such a professional, and both he and Mark are committed to doing a good job. Pete is always honest and direct, qualities I value and that make a good working relationship. Both he and Mark are genuinely nice people, and I always felt at ease when I was at home with the baby and they were working.

I found the prices affordable and I was happy to pay for a job well done. I would certainly use Fun and Function again- in fact, we will be calling them when it's time to renovate our ensuite bathroom.

I had Pete provide a quote for a bthroom remodel in Sept. 2013. A quick turnaround on the quote and a difficult job but on budget. This was a floor to ceiling marble install with spray-jets, rain shower and a new glass doors. The finished product is exceptional. It simply looks beautiful. I am not sure Pete made any money on this but a true professioanl finishes what was started and Pete is a professional. We hope to have him back to renovate the master bath. Stephen & Natasha

In November of 2013 I interviewed three renovators to renovate 2 bathrooms in our home. The work required was for a total renovation of our existing bathrooms. Pete and his co-worker Mark were prompt in arranging an appointment and spent plenty of time reviewing the project with us. A quote in writing was provided the next day .Pete's quote was not the lowest of the three but We felt Fun and Function were the ones best suited to meet our expectations. Pete and his partner Mark not only met our expectations but exceeded them .All work was completed on time and within our budget. The quality of all work performed met or exceeded our expectations.
