Bedwell Van Lines

This is the worst moving company ever!! They sent my items form Toronto to NYC and only 1 of the 4 mover showed up for over 150 pieces! I was forced to move all my boxes myself at 2 locations!! They have offered me an insulting $200 discount for this material breach of out moving contract!! DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!!! YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED!!!!

We had a very bad experience with Bedwell this summer and would not recommend them for many reasons: their security is lax, their consideration of your belongings poor, and their ownership of any issues practically non existent. We stored furniture with them, some of which were taken in a break-in, without them knowing. We only discovered this when the police called to let us know about items they had in their possession. To give them credit one of the missing items Bedwell paid to replace, and they gave a discount, but there were other items they claimed were not taken in the break-in yet never arrived here despite “being checked out of the warehouse” and they will not/cannot explain where they are. We constantly had to call and email and follow up with no response, there was no ownership or responsibility. And when we escalated to their parent company, they said they couldn’t help as “ This was an Intra-Canadian relocation and the agents act under their own authority”.

Asides from those issues, items were broken or damaged during the move like a $300 vase which their insurance paid only $20 for (insurance is paid out by weight of item not value) as well as nicks and dents, including on our piano and our walls.

Long story short, we will not be using Bedwell nor North American ever again. We thought we would be safe with a big company like North American, but sadly this was not the case.

Second time I’ve used this company and the service was once again amazing.
Right from the initial over the phone estimate I knew I would be well taken care of again.
Then the day of the move the crew was efficient, respectful of my possessions and just really great to work with.
I would recommend them to anyone!!!

This company came in 5 hours late to the job with one less mover and charged me double the cost that was agreed upon. I would never recommend this company even to my enemy.

Used Bedwell twice before and will use them again and again.
Professional crew, wore masks throughout the entire move and made us feel really safe.
Office staff always very polite and helpful when I have called with questions.
I have recommended them to anyone that I know is moving without hesitation.

Charged more then double the original quote. Didnt finish the job and was left hanging to find help and trucks at 7pm on a Thursday night.

No preventive measures for.covid 19 . No masks gloves and jump from different house to house each day .
Many items and furniture left broken and dissasembeled.
ABSOLUTELY disgusting how they rip people off
Legal actions are now being taken .

unfortunately our experience with Bedwell has been a nightmare. We moved homes 1.75 hours apart. They offered us free storage for 2 months for 40% of our things then they were to pack the other 60% and move all of it the next day. 2.5 wks later I only have some of my things - all my storage but only part of what they packed! Their packing is poor - valuable art not boxed, lamp shades crushed, tables & cabinets stretched, mattresses not wrapped. No call from them yet. I am hoping to discuss resolution and for them to find my boxes & items and deliver them all!

I recently moved from Toronto to Goderich and have always used North American Van Lines and this time the carrier was Bed Well Van Lines. The two drivers showed up exactly on time and the move was flawless and the staff prior to the move, during the move and after the move were professional, caring and attentive to my moving needs. Absolutely nothing was broken or damaged during the move.

Bedwell moving systems made the moving experience enjoyable and hassle free. Showed up on in time, prepared, with a friendly crew who were willing to go above and beyond to make sure we were settled. I will be using them again for any business or personal moves, big or small.

I moved my house contents into their storage in early August. Bedwell's packers came and packed my contents a day before the moved date. Both the packers and movers did a great job and everything was out of my house with no issues. I would highly recommend Bedwell Van Lines services.
