The English Painter painted recently the exterior of our house in Cedarvale.
Gareth and Liam did a fantastic job bringing out the beauty of our house by painting meticulously the many architectural details.
Gareth and Liam showed up singing and always in good spirits in their van every morning. This reflected in their work, you can see that they love what they are doing.
I wouldn‘t hesitate a moment to recommend them and we hope to work with them in future again.

Gareth and Liam painted my bay window, fascia and stained the porch to match. They were lovely to work with from start to finish. Gareth had lots of great insights and suggestions when he came to quote and they were fast, tidy and did a fantastic job. They touched up my screens where the paint had chipped and went above and beyond. The house looks great.

Our experience with The English Painter was 100% positive. We knew right away that we had chosen the perfect company for us, so we hired them without hesitation or shopping around. We tend to be 'hard-to-please' with very high expectations. No previous contractors have ever left us as satisfied as The English Painter has. Gareth, Liam and Carol gave 110% from start to finish. Carol immediately impressed us by replying the same day of our reach, despite the fact that they were tightly booked with dozens of jobs on the horizon. Shortly after sending a few site photos, we received a very fair and reasonable quotation, with no change following an on-site visit by Gareth later that week. Scheduling was so smooth, they fit us in quickly and were extremely flexible when we had to split the project into two visits due to another contractor's delay. They finished exactly when they said they would, plus they were extremely patient with us throughout both jobs. We never once felt that they compromised any of the critical prep work or rushed our projects. Their communications skills are amazing and they are totally attuned to their clients needs.

Many rooms in our East York bungalow were sorely in need of this re-do. The bedrooms, den and hallways had not been dealt with for over 25 years. This company rescued us, it was truly like we won the lottery! The plaster badly needed repair, some of the corners were molding, there were huge cracks in the ceiling and all areas were in rough shape. None of the deterioration was a problem for these fellows. They gave as much attention to detail and pride in their craft to our closets, as with the main walls. Daily cleanup was spotless, they always left behind an immaculate workspace and great care was taken with protecting all our antiques and the hardwood. Consistently they went the extra mile, taking down light fixtures, ceiling fans and removing all accessories like doorknobs, etc. Gareth took extra time to offer us great advice and inspiration for additional tasks we needed to do. He even volunteered to come back and do touch up if needed whenever our delayed side door arrives.

Gareth and his son Liam provided us with good old-fashioned customer service, superior quality and 1st class workmanship. We hope to hire them again for our family room renovation. They are truly top-notch professionals and you could not be disappointed if you hire The English Painter. A solid family business that operates at the highest level who will always maximize your dollars spent. We can not thank them enough for the super results.

Gareth and LIam from English Painter did a fantastic job on our front hall, stairs and upstairs landing. They fixed cracks in the walls and ceiling of our quirky old house, sanded, conditioned, stained and varnished tired wood trim, stair treads and bannister posts to make them look good as new (even managing to match exactly our wood floor stain) then they painted the trim, walls and ceilings up the stairway. Honestly, we feel like we have a new house. They cleaned up, worked around us - and everyone in our house including two dogs were home - and were a delight to welcome into our home. We'd recommend them highly. In fact, we've already booked for them to come back to do the rest of the house.

The English Painter team was great to work with from start to finish. We did some cool stuff in the kids room and they did an awesome job. Communication was great and project was delivered!

Gareth and his son Liam recently painted my home, which included substantial reparations to my old plaster walls. They did a great job within the expected timeframe and cleaned up after themselves to minimize the accumulation dust. Their overall friendliness and willingness to help move/fix things was a big bonus!

I knew from the quoting process alone that we had the right painter. Gareth considered every detail to address significant drywall repairs, numerous cracks and water damage to ensure excellent work that would last for years to come. We also saw his integrity in balancing our priorities with our limited budget without compromise on quality.
The workmanship was absolutely first class with previous damage completely indistinguishable. The pride in their craft was clear with the hours spent on preparation of the surfaces. This was also evident when Gareth was dissatisfied with the original plan to paint one wall in a room and elected to paint the entire room at no additional charge to make sure it was right.
It was a nice added touch that the team acted as movers in carefully moving our furniture and returning it after the work was complete - they even took photos to ensure everything went back in the right place. Anything left in a room was carefully covered and they were very respectful in removing their shoes and keeping our house clean throughout the process. We had the added dynamic of having our 170 lb Saint Bernard constantly trying to play with Liam but they all dealt with that in stride and fortunately we didn't have a "Beethoven" incident.

I highly recommend this painting company. The team of three did an excellent job on our living room, kitchen, upstairs hall and basement. Every night upon leaving they left the job site tidy and organized. I was extremely pleased with the professional quality of the work and would not hesitate to recommend them. There is no way I could have done a job this fine on my own.

I've hired English Painter three times for various projects in my home, he's basically repainted my entire house over the last 5 years. Always professional, courteous and on time/on budget, and leaves no mess behind.
