Richard delivered a strong sales pitch supported by a thorough education of paint options, painting process and QA/QC of work. His crew (Alberto) was extremely professional and accomodating. A couple of learnings from working with Legacy:
1. It would be wise to get a sample of the paint to try on the exterior surface. Although we choose a sample color we liked, as soon as we put it on the exterior surface, a pink/purple tint came through. We ended up having to change the color part way through the job. Alberto and Richard were fully supportive of this. Part of the issue (in my opinion...) is the sample colors are from General Paint while the exterior paint product is from Cloverdale.
2. We had to call back the crew afterwards to clean a few paint spots/touch up. There was a bit of back and forth with Richard on the touch up as the location (our deck) was an "add on" with the crew when they came. Although I was instructed by Richard to approach the crew directly for the add-on, this work is not explicitly in the contract. However, in the end, this got sorted out. Learning for those considering working with Legacy is to get ALL items in the contract to avoid any miscommunication....
