TJ came to our home to quote on the removal of the fireplace. He and a fellow employee removed it a few weeks later. The quoted price is what was charged. They were extremely pleasant and cleaned up after the removal. When they were leaving he put my garbage cans in the garage for me, which was super nice of him.

After deciding to place a gas fireplace in our basement during our current renovation, I began to look around for dealers, service providers etc. in the Burlington area. I received quotes from 3 companies located near Burlington but was still not sure about the quality of the installation. Often one company sells the product but they then "contract out" the installation.

From past experience with others products this sometimes results in a very quick and superficial installation, because they are usually doing it for a "set contract price" and have several to do in a day. So I decided to research the reviews on Home Stars and found TJ's Fireplaces and Gas Services located right here in Burlington. I AM VERY PLEASED THAT I DID!!!!!

TJ was very quick to respond to my initial email inquiry from his Gmail account tjsfireplaces@gmail.com (Note that this is an updated address and replaces an earlier Cogeco address) Based on our email conversations we set up a no obligation site visit to get a firm quote based on TJ's visual inspection. All installation tasks and were to be completed by TJ himself and could be done in a timely manner. His overall cost was lower and the satisfaction of knowing that he would handle and guarantee the installation himself was the item that sealed the deal.

Installation went according to schedule and TJ was every bit as efficient and careful as he said he would be. I am very pleased with the product, installation and service provided by TJ. Be sure to at least include TJ in your quotation process, you will not be disappointed.

The single wrinkle in the whole process was of my own doing. A week or two after installation we went away and so I decided to shut off the pilot light since a gas appliance was new to us. Upon return I realized that I did not know how to successfully relight the pilot. TJ is helping me through the process.

Previous contractor installed the pipe for the gas but didn't finish the job and so I was without a BBQ for quite some time. I found TJ'S Fireplaces and Gas Services on this website and texted Terry and received a response the same day. He installed the proper fixture and even did a quick repair on my older BBQ so that it would work properly. He even spray painted the pipe so that it wouldn't rust.

He was very professional and he completed the job in no-time.
I would definitely use his services again and I would refer him to someone else with no problems.

Terry has installed and serviced fireplaces and installed gas for BBQs in 5 of my homes. He has always been fair price-wise and exceptional in delivering service and installation on time. Recently Union Gas cut off our gas due to street work and relit our fireplace that Terry had installed 2 yrs previously. It went out shortly after the Union Gas fellow left at 8 pm on a Friday night! I left a message for Terry to ask how to relight the fireplace expecting a call back by Monday. 5 minutes later Terry called and walked me through it! I now had a fireplace to warm up in front of while my house warmed up! I will definitely use Terry for future renovations and gas installs.
