Peter and his friendly and professional crew had a long job ahead of them. After years of neglect and cheap, corner-cutting DIY paint jobs from the previous owners, it was time to paint our house properly. Our house is peculiar to say the least - completely made of brick that had been painted several times since the 1960s, it was peeling and flaking to an extreme level. When Peter first arrived he warned us that to do the project right, it would take many days of scraping, grinding and power washing, two thick coats of bonding primer, another coat of primer, and two layers of finishing paint.
My wife and I were impressed with Peter's honesty and frankness. Once we awarded the job to him, he gave us a timeline for when he would be able to start the project. He is extremely punctual, and a very good communicator - at the end of the day, either my wife or I would receive a full run-down on what was accomplished, and his expectations of what would get done the following day. My wife and I both work, so to have someone manage the project in such an effortless way was much weight off of our shoulders. He even had to co-ordinate some repair pointing that had to be done to the mortar in several places. The project did not miss a beat.
In the initial phase, Peter took great care to do his estimate correctly. We all knew this was going to be an expensive job, and at no time did Peter ever take me aside and say that they were short a few gallons of paint, or the prep work was taking longer than he thought. That showed me me he knew his trade inside and out, and was a true professional. His motto of "No Stress, No mess" is not an idle catch phrase. They left the house and yard in immaculate condition, and considering the amount of paint chips and dust they generated, that is no small feat.
My wife and I recommend Peter for his honesty, attention to detail and communication skills. We really can't say enough about how hard he worked, and what a wonderful job he did with our house. No doubt he will impress you as well.
