Pretty Handy Guy

The Pretty Handy Guy converted our old basement bedroom into a clean, bright workout area for us. He removed the old carpet and subflooring, replaced with new subfloor and new wood finish, replaced doors and window finishes, painted and put new baseboards in. The room is very useable now and we appreciate that John worked quickly and cleaned up each day and took away all the old material. We have used him for several projects and have more jobs lined up. We are very satisfied with him work.

We had a vision for the way we wanted this built in to look. John saw the vision . He sketched it out for us. He then proceeded to fulfill our vision. It is exactly what we hoped for.

John painted several rooms in the house, transforming them into exactly what we wanted. He did a beautiful job and was so easygoing. Communication was great. He gave some advice too when picking colours (since I asked). I really enjoyed talking to him, too. He has a great sense of humour and was great with our pets. I highly recommend John and will gladly call him back at the next opportunity!

John is a delight to work with--pleasant, communicative, respectful, and reliable. His high ratings are truly well deserved. Our porch railings were in desperate need of repairing and repainting. He was able to rebuild the railings down the stairs, which had rotted, matching the style to the original design and ensuring they were solid. He also levelled some patio slabs at the foot of the stairs and did some additional sanding and painting of decorative trim that he noticed was chipping. VERY pleased with the end result. Looking forward to having John back for the next home improvement item on our list.

Had new furnace installed where they had to create a hole through my ceiling and have an exposed pipe. Unfortunately it was only way for install to be done. I didn't like the hole or the exposed pipe, so, asked John to help. As always, his work is magic and it was all done in less than 2 days. Plus the painting matched exactly the painting I had in the basement walls. So, looks like nothing ever happened and it all blends in. Highly recommend John for any and all jobs!! Won't hesitate to call on him again.
