Pretty Handy Guy

We have used John a second time and we are very pleased again with the results. John always comes up with great alternative solutions and excellent handy work . We look forward to using John more and more in the future. Great work again!

John did a number of repairs to trim and bathroom ceilings in our home, including repairing drywall, plastering and painting, and adding crown moulding in the bathroom. He was great about following through and fair on his estimates of time and pricing, and very neat and detail-oriented. I was very pleased with the work he did and would have him back again.

Once again John's overall service delivery is a sheer delight. John has completed a number of projects in my home over the last couple of years and I have total confidence in his ability to do job well at all times. His awesome sense of humour and honest judgement and advice about the viability of new projects is greatly appreciated!

We are renovating everything, so I had a lot of work for John. Over the course of a month, he showed up on time every day and dealt with all unexpected challenges. He had a long list, and completed everything to my satisfaction:
.. added crown moulding to my dining area and kitchen
.. painted kitchen cabinets and installed new hardware (required some drilling)
.. full renovation of two powder rooms: vinyl floor, new vanities, light fixture, accessories, trim and paint, as well as an accent wallpaper wall, and switching a door to open outward, replacing transition strip ...Lots of problems in one room, and he handled every challenge like a pro
.. full interior painting 2,000 sq ft, every wall, ceiling and trim

I contacted John based on his great reviews and we were not disappointed! We had our bathroom fully renovated last spring (by someone else) and I was not happy with some of the finishing details. John fixed up the patchy walls, painted walls and trim, put up all of our bathroom hardware, installed a glass shelf in my shower and installed 3 interior doors (bedroom, den and bathroom), that all needed to be customized due to the irregular door frames in my 80 year old house! Great work all around - we're looking forward to having him complete some more work in the spring and have referred him to family members as well.

Our experience with John was great. After our initial consultation meeting with him several weeks earlier, he showed up at the house ready with a selection of Crown moulding profiles from which we would choose. The final execution was completed in a short amount of time with little mess and lots attention to detail. He was accessible with queries and trustworthy and considerate through the process. We would definitely hire John again.

We hired John (Pretty Handy Guy) after seeing his reviews here and actually recognizing a few names of previous reviewers. He did extensive work here(all interior doors /trim replacement, installed wood on the stairs, and painted the 2 story front hall). He gave us good advise about finishes but left it up to us to decide. His professionalism and pride in his work is evident in all he does. As the work proceeded, he suggested a few more improvements to make the finished project shine even more. He cleaned up everything before he left(sign of a good workman)
We looked forward to his smile and his great sense of humour every day while he was working here.

I have already hired John to do much more work

I hired John to do some home maintenance repairs and he completed them expertly and in a timely manner. He didn't mind when I texted him and added a few extra items to the list - LOL. He repaired a pocket door and a bi-fold closet door and installed closet shelving. He caulked a shower, repaired a landing with wood putty and varnish and replaced two registers. Lastly, he repaired and tightened my banister spindles and painstakingly painted them. He takes pride in his work, is honest, cleans up his work area and he's a VERY nice guy! His work is only outshined by his gracious manner and sense of humour. I would not hesitate to hire John again.

The Pretty Handy Guy (John) was in fact pretty handy. He was also very pleasant, courteous, and funny. He did a fantastic job putting up new crown molding and fixing existing crown molding.

Would highly recommend him.
