Built our home in 2008. We have had heat issues since the beginning. We checked our windows since they are extremely drafty. There is a 15 degree temperature change across the windows, with our humidity turned way down we get at least an inch of ice built up on the windows that open. We spoke with the sales rep initially who indicated is sounded like a bad install. Called customer service and spoke with "Jerry", he was extremely disrespectful, did not listen to our concerns. No one I know has the same issue with ice but they also don't have Gienow windows so bottom line is the product is poor quality. Do yourself a favor go to a different manufacturer.

Hi Jessica, we regret that your experience with our customer service was not to your satisfaction. Windows (from all manufacturers) often get blamed when condensation occurs. The amount of condensation that builds up depends on the outside and inside temperature and the humidity level in the home. Even with humidifiers turned down, lifestyles can result in a lot of humidity occurring in a home. Here are 2 links to third party information regarding how to reduce condensation in your home. http://www.cmhc-schl.gc.ca/odpub/pdf/61033.pdf http://www.hpo.bc.ca/files/download/MMR/MM3.pdf
