Greenshield Windows & Doors Ltd No Longer In Business

contacted by Greensheild windows through cold call with "super" offer. received quote from agent that seemed like great deal. had windows and door installed in August 2010. while windows being installes I noticed that I could pretty much see through the spray foam insulation that was used. I was told it's a new kind and much better. over winter noticed alot of wind comming in around windows. took months to get response then when guy that installed windows showed up he just put a bead of silicone calking aroune moulding and said they forgot to do that part. they did replace the window in the front door that was falling apart, but new one is falling apart too. contacted by "manager" months ago. he said he would personaly come by but have never heard from him. I think it's because I said I would not consider having other work done by the company untill they fixed the first crappy work their installers did.

Had windows installed. The bedroom window is not in properly, and catches when sliding it. The capping is God awful, looks like a child did it. Some have big silver screws sticking out from them. Instead of bending the metal to make it into a nice / normal finish, they left the side of the frame opened and hollow and filled it up with a ton of silicone. They left several HUGE gaps filled with silicone. Did bad silicone job at that. When called to have it fixed they came back and told us that it is done correctly and only added more silicone instead of fixing it. Jacob said that he cant cap it properly. The work was done professionally. The product was delivered as promised. The financing package provided was great and my house has sold quicker as a result of the great look. Thanks!

I was very impressed with the professionalism and level of service Green Shield performed on my home. The installer came right at 8am as we requested and worked diligently for the entire day until the front of my home was complete. They set down drop sheets, cleaned up after themselves and wiped down all the windows. After they were finished my father (retired carpenter) inspected their work and he concluded that the job was "professionally done", which is great feedback knowing his standards. I have been recommending Green Shield since my installation in Sept 2010, and I hope to do the back of my house this year.
