Canada Maid Service

I booked a cleaning service for my home for a Friday. No one showed up to my home to perform the service. I emailed the company to advise them of the situation. One company representative informed me that the maid was sick, another rep informed me that there was an online booking glitch. I was promised a refund. It has been 19 days and I am STILL waiting for my refund. I have made multiple calls and sent multiple emails to this company with ZERO response. I called the number that I was given, the person who answered the phone stated that he didn't even know what Canada Maid Service was. Extremely frustrated, save yourself the trouble and DO NOT USE THIS SERVICE.

Received a gift card for housecleaning. Company did not call back to book appointment. Finally got through and now they are a no show. They should not be allowed to put there gift cards in stores.

This was the worsed service I have ever dealt with in my life. The day of the appointment the cleaning lady was late 30 mins, so I called to cancel because I have a an infant and I had to make arrangements to leave the house. I was angry for them lateness, when I called they told me they had a 1 hr grace period, I was never told when booking. When I canceled she told me that they had to charge me $35 for cancelation. I am furious for the incompetence for the whole service and the charges. I was charged, didn't have my home cleaned and the lady came 1hr & 5mins late with minimal equipement. DO NOT USE THIS SERVICE.

Worse cleaning job I've ever seen. Maid left 45 mins into 3 hour service. Did not complete 1/10th of what was paid for. I sent pictures to the manager and the company rescheduled another cleaning lady for today. She didn't show up or even call. Avoid this company at all costs and spread the word!

Ugh, this is the absolute worst company I've ever dealt with. The cleaning staff never arrive on time or are always having to reschedule. What's worse is the fact that even after cancelling the service in August it took 2 weeks to get my keys back and I have since been charged twice for services I didn't receive or ask for. When I requested a refund I was spoken rudely with over the phone and eventually only got half the money back. When I called to further complain, the man on the line was dismissive and aggressive. I am absolutely appalled at the service the company offers and they way they treat their customers. Please never ever use this company. They are AWFUL!!

Like the others, I wish I had read the reviews... The girl was really nice, but she was here for only 2.5 hours instead of the 3 that I paid for and left dust all over. I could have done a better job in an hour and i wish I had saved my money. She didn`t even rinse the bath after dumping the mop water!

I paid to have the detailed cleaning service on a rental property I own. After paying for 8 hours of cleaning between 2 individuals (4 hrs each) no detailed cleaning was done and in fact the only cleaning performed was a very poor job of mopping my floors and appliances. When I called to complain and suggest a partial refund, I was told in no uncertain terms that there are no refunds (this is not stated anywhere on their website). When I said I would use social media to vent my dissatisfaction, the regional manager (Phil) told me he would sue for slander. (Actually, it's libel if it's printed but I digress). Anyways, you can't sue if my statements are true (they are) and besides, who makes a comment like that to a customer??

Phil did offer me 2 hrs of free cleaning which I will never use because if they did a horrible job on 8 hrs of paid cleaning, what would they do with 2 hrs of free cleaning?

We were dissatisfied with quality of cleaning. They were not punctual at all and did not show up for one scheduled cleaning. Further, no one called to inform us there was a problem so we waited around until we called them to find out no one was coming.

Still waiting for refund that was demanded a month ago.

I purchased a cleaning package on special through Canada Maid Service and am extremely dissappointed/frustrated with the outcome. I had an appointment scheduled at 8:00am today for a full 8 hour cleaning, and by 9:30 nobody had come. I called the company and left messages, but did not receive a call in return. I called and emailed the company numerous times - feeling very anxious to get this cleaning done as I am having 40 people over to my home tomorrow and wanted it clean!

I finally reached them at approx. 10:30am, at which point they let me know a maid would not be coming out to my house and I could reschedule. They offered to reschedule for next Wedensday instead. I told them I did not want to reschedule, and I was depending heavily on their services to have a clean home for my guests TODAY. I let them know that if they are unable to deliver the services for today, I would like a full refund. They did not agree, and the supervisor was apparently going to call me back. It is now 12:00 noon and I have not heard from them.

I had called to confirm my original appointment twice prior to today, to ensure the maid would be coming. I am very frustrated with the outcome, as I have left cleaning to the last minute before my party - completely counting on this company. Now it also seems as though obtaining a refund will be difficult.

I spoke with a co-worker, and they had the exact same experience with Canada Maid Service - booked and paid for an appointment, and the maid was a no-show. I DO NOT RECOMEND THIS COMPANY!

I wish I had seen the reviews before hiring this company to do my cleaning. I bought 5 hrs of cleaning (I have a 2-bedroom condo) + carpet shampooing for my living room. The deal was for some "detailed cleaning". First, I had to re-schedule because the girl who showed up did not have the carpet cleaning machine. Then, on the day they were supposed to come, they were two hours late. Two girls showed up at 2:30 and left at 4:15. Now I know my math skills aren't great but how does this come up to 5 hours + carpet washing? The work was awful! Other than a wet carpet, I couldn't see what else was done when I got back home. Very superficial cleaning and dusting - bad enough that I have to re-do anyway. They washed my patio door and it's worse than it was before. I have to re-do this too. Many places in the living room and the bedroom didn't even get dusted. Nothing in the kitchen was done except a superficial cleaning of the counter top and may be vacuuming of the floor (which of course I have to re-do). And that is my experience with this company. Just to think that i was planning on hiring them on a bi-weekly basis!!! What a scary thought! Beware dealing with this company. You will not get refunded no matter what. Once they have your credit card, you're a nobody to them. They will not even bother to call you if they're going to be two hours late, cause your time isn't important. Their lack of respect for their customers is beyond belief. $400 (that's $350.00 plus tax) for less than two hours of very lousy "cleaning", and disrespect for their customers. This is what you'll get with Canada Maid Service. Do yourself a favor and stay away from them. Hire a lady!
