I am writing this review to add some dimension to the few negative reports that Bill has received.
I too was asked for a 50% deposit on all promised work, I demurred, because I thought it unreasonable, and paid $250 instead. I was invoiced for the whole job, and instructed to pay up front, which I did not do.
Bill did some of the work but was unable to finish. Since then I have sent several e-mails, asking for a statement of account, and confirming that we have fixed the problem at our end. I have also asked for an accounting of some supplies he purchased and did not leave with us. ( He itemized $100 for supplies, which I queried, specifically noting that most of the plumbing had already been supplied, and the lumber was not yet needed.) My main problem is the non-response to all of my e-mails. I told him that I would hire someone else, since he had been non-responsive, but I had to pay $75 to that person for shut-off valves which I believed Bill had already purchased.
I am not out of pocket much, and the work he did was fine. I would just like to support those people who HAVE had some problems, they are not wrong, my experience, though not as dire, was very similar.
Bill contacted me and has asked that I edit my review. I have viewed his unflattering response to my review, which includes references to my home a family, and wish only to add that I stand by my original review. Bill's work is fine; his attitude to problems, questions and disagreements is not. As long as you have a perfect life and a perfect home, and do not care about how your money is spent, by all means hire this contractor. I would ask people to review his negative reviews, and his responses to criticism, however mild, and judge for yourself the commonalities. Ask yourself whether this is someone you want in your home.

- Company Response
This was never about family issues or quality this is about taunting emails which didn't justify a response and being accused of theft of materials and not completing work. When asked why the time used consumed her initial payment and the reasons were explained this is the result. Any explanation below is not meant as derogatory or condescending but to merely explain our side of the story
This customer was provided a quote for more work than what was performed due to changes in her plan and wanting to separate items into an additional visit. She paid 250 because the quote was actually for 500.00
No customer has ever in the history of this company been asked to pay for a job in full up front the job was to install a laundry tub, pick up special order doors from a store which were. Left behind from a previous contractor who disappeared
The laundry tub was installed and leak tested but was not able to be supplied with water due to the inability to locate The main water supply valve for obvious reasons due to a heavily cluttered basement and her 20 something year old son occupying said basement complaining for not receiving 24hrs notice and cutting into his bath. Any supplies purchased were left in the garage right beside the closet doors as requested or used for the tasks that day. The claim of 75.00 for shut off valves from another contractor.. They are 9.99 each at the store.
The invoiced total was for 2 hrs to pick up said closet doors which were hard to locate at the store because they had been there so long due to a previous contractor quoting and the balance was for the tub install.
The lack of response was due to out of town family issues which most of the antagonizing emails received didn't warrant a reply but pictures of our daughter in the hospital after a car accident, the news article ect were provided to validate my lack of response.
I truly do wish I was able to have a 100% customer satisfaction rating as this is how we succeed but it is after all a fact of life you will never keep 100% of the population happy.
And for this I do apologize
