John completely renovated our kids bathroom. He increased the size of the room to accommodate a bath and moved toilet, did plumbing, electric, dry walling and tiling. John works with you to find out exactly what you want, he gives advice, he is thorough in his work and does the job very well. We are very happy with our bathroom and I would definitely hire him again.

John and his team re drywalled my garage after spray foam insulation and then installed all new windows and patio doors. They were timely, knowledgeable and dedicated professionals who took care of my home as if it were theirs. Their work was meticulously completed. We had a long standing issue with our upstairs bathroom. The builders Starward Homes installed it cutting the membrane. Over time this created a slow water leak and obvious water damage. John and his team from Sharpe Improvements were able to identify and fix the issue. The bathroom was redone and looks amazing.

We were very happy with the job that John and his crew did for us. Having just moved into a resale home we ran into some unexpected issues in the attic. John was referred to us by our electrician and was one of the two people that answered our call regarding this issue. The job he did for us was likely not the biggest he has done but it was a critical one for us. He arrived at our house the same day, took a look around and provided several options for us. After looking at the options we had several more questions – John was happy to listen to our concerns and answer all the questions we had. His crew arrived on time and executed the job in exactly the way they had described. He is courteous and professional. When we look at larger projects for our home John would definitely get a call.

We are a non-profit organization so it is essential that we get the work done at a reasonable price but I also expect high quality work (I am a bit of a perfectionist!) John was very professional, all work was done to my high standards, he creatively found solutions to some design problems (old building), all work was done on time, well cleaned up and worked around our business hours. The quotes were accurate. He was also great in keeping me up to date on all of the stages of work. He met deadlines for completion and overall we are very pleased with all the work performed and have recommended Sharpe Improvements to others. I was also confident in giving him keys and alarm codes to our buildings to complete work after hours.

I hired Sharpe Improvements to finish my basement in Feb. 2011. This was one of the best experiences I have ever had with a contractor.
I first met John, the owner, when I asked him to quote on the job. He came to my home and took lots of measurements, asked lots of questions and gave lots of ideas and suggestions. He was courteous and professional, and when he left I felt like he understood what I was looking for. His quote was detailed and easy to read. I was very comfortable that I knew what was included and not included in the quote. I picked John because of the comfort level that I had with him. It proved to be the right choice. From start to finish there was never a point where I was concerned with how this project was going. I felt like I was well informed on the progress throughout the project. John's team was also courteous and professional. They treated my home with respect.
I am very happy with the finished product, and over two years later the quality of workmanship shows. We use the space all the time and it still looks great.

Sharpe Improvements replaced a window and a sliding patio door for me. John and his crew were very careful to work around a floor installation that was going on at the same time. And when I thought I had a problem with a leak in the door John came back - more than once - to check on the situation until we were both satisfied everything was all right. He even emailed after a big storm to make sure there was no leak. I would recommend him to my friends, and have already done so to a neighbor who has now used John twice.
