"Total Commitment to Quality Service" is their motto, which seems kind of ironic following my experience with TransCanada Movers. I would have rated this company much higher if it were not for the absolutely horrendous attitude/service received by one of their reps, Margaret. It took over 5 weeks to move my things (studio apartment) from Vancouver to Montreal. My stuff was over-weighed by approx. 300 lbs. So if you do decide to go with this company, have yours stuff weighed elsewhere prior to shipping with them.
Spotty communication/email, and a lack of transparency and accountability (ie my things were delivered by a 'partner' company with an 'F' Better Business Bureau rating).
Make sure to get a written quote, and ask to see a copy of their contract prior to your moving day, so there are no surprises. They only cover up to $0.60 per pound for any loss or damage. And there is a $350 deductible to file for loss or damage. I filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau because of reasons listed above. It was only after that complaint and a yelling match with 'ol Margaret that the company offered me a 'discount', charging me for what my furniture ACTUALLY weighed. Moving guys on Vancouver end were great - efficient and friendly. Another bonus - everything but my bicycle (de-railer was broken during move) arrived in good condition, and the delivery guys were even 15 minuted earlier than scheduled.
I'm happy to read that some had a great experience with this company, and I hope future customers receive better service than I did.
