John and his company renovated our front, side and back yard this past summer. Scope included front porch, walkway, driveway, garden grade change, new landscaping, side walkway, removal of wood deck and replacement with new patio, plus fence and lighting and resodding of the entire property.

John and his team were a joy to work with from start to finish. The cost estimate was fully transparent – each individual work envelope in the scope was fully detailed with materials, quantities, labour and cost broken out so you knew exactly what you were getting. John’s graphics presentation of the proposed design allowed us to visualize what the installed product would look like. He suggested cost effective solutions that looked great without blowing our budget. He was very accommodating with design tweaks and some significant scope additions we requested as the job progressed. During construction, John and his employees checked with us frequently on installation layouts (e.g. flagstone paver laydown pattern, fence details) to ensure it was exactly how we wanted it before proceeding. They consistently left the site safe and tidy at the end of each work day.

Overall, they produced a high quality job and we have received many compliments on the design and installation from friends and neighbours. McLennon Landscaping is a very honest, professsional and diligent company and I highly recommend them.

Mclennon Landscaping did an amazing total renovation of my front and backyard last year. From the minute I met John I knew he would be open, honest and hardworking. This past summer, in a home we had recently purchased, John helped turn a previously neglected backyard into an attractive and useable space. Following some discussion, John presented us with a thoughtful design that addressed our various hopes regarding this space, making accommodations for our budget. The process was relaxed and low pressure, and worked around our availability and schedule. The work went forward as planned, and was completed on time. The crew was very professional and any questions we had during the project were addressed promptly. Importantly, potential inconveniences to our immediate neighbors were also anticipated and dealt with proactively. We are highly satisfied with the outcome. An outdoor space we had previously avoided is now a gathering place for our family and other guests we invite into our home. We would consider John and his crew our first choice for any future projects we might undertake, and would highly recommend him to others hoping to make similar improvements to their property.

We first hired John in 2013 to do our large courtyard in a new build. The process was very easy. 1. John created a design from our ideas and we went from there. The courtyard is quite large and we decided to do two areas, one for bbq and dining which was a large interlock patio and has an interlock walkway to a seating area with a second patio and pergola. There are border gardens around the fence and framing the seating area. The result was better than we could have imagined, it looked great on paper but was even better when completed. The crews were polite professional and so pleasant and easy to work with not to mention their great skill at implementing the designs. John was honest and easy going and always available for questions and was very understanding and helpful with any concerns or any changes requested. 2. We were so pleased we hired John again the following year to do the front porch, steps and walkway. Again this was not just a walkway his design subtle and tasteful, and his crews skills have made it a statement piece, we receive so many compliments and requests for John's contact info - it's just so beautiful. We will have John back next year to do the landscaping to finish off the beautiful front stone work. And last but certainly not least, the office manager Candace is one of the best customer service people I have ever dealt with. Friendly, professional and goes out of her way to make sure customers are 100% satisfied. I never give 10 out of 10 but in this case it is well deserved. Looking forward to more projects with Mclennon Landscape.

May 2013 - John and his crew did a FANTASTIC job on my front steps. My steps were 11 years old and in rough shape; they were redone and now are sure to last forever. I hired John & his crew in 2011 for some much needed stone work to be done. Our existing stairs & landing were in VERY rough shape and clearly needed to be replaced. John was fantastic at developing a design & timeline which we could all agree to. There was also a secondary bit of work to be undertaken at the side of our home, mainly grading and building a staircase to our back garden.

John and his crew were GREAT to deal with (good sense of humour as well!) and was always on time, took the time to explain things to us when we had questions and finally (and for some this is critical), the entire project was on budget (e.g. no cost overruns).
