they did not deliver materials on time. Their rush delivery took them 2 days and it turned out they deliver wrong materials. I complained by phone and they said they could not solve the issue.

- Company Response
This REVIEW was placed by Drywall Taping.ca. In 5 years of business 1-800 Drywall has always prided ourselves on being able to find solutions and work with our customers, yet this company was very unrealistic with their demands and expectations. Please take the time to read our response as we have now experienced firsthand what it is like to deal with an unreasonable company and their owners, we trust and hope they do not treat their customers as they treat other businesses.
The situation is as follows and can be further supported by our supplier who also found Drywall Taping.ca very difficult to work with. First contact with Drywall Taping.ca was at the end of August, where we gave them an outline of the prices we offer. At this time we gave them as much information as possible about our equipment, materials and timelines, next day delivery is available on all orders received before 4:30 pm as explained in emails dated Aug. 29/14.
The customer first registered with us on Sept. 8/14. This contact was done over the phone and at the time a quote was requested, the quote was reviewed, discounted and sent back to the customer all before 2:00 pm. The customer was requesting same day delivery, we did check to see if this might be possible but it simply was not, however we did let them know that we could offer next day delivery if the order was received by 4:30 pm. The customer then went on our chat line to inquire about same day delivery, and was given the same response that we can accommodate next day.
As we tried to earn their business, we allowed for two delivery locations on one order, yet neither order met our minimum order requirements, but we waived this to accommodate the customer. The owner called back to inquire about a specific item, Quiet Rock Drywall, again we checked and found the item was not in stock, we gave all the special order information as well as pricing, this was just before 3:30 pm. The customer called back to insist that if placed, their order needed to be the first delivery the next morning, the owner was informed again that we cannot guarantee a specific time and we offer the delivery times of 7 am – 12 pm and 12 pm – 5 pm.
The order was placed 10 minutes after our dead line of 4:30 pm however we called the warehouse and asked if this order could be squeezed in the next day. We were able to get the order in for next day but not until after noon. This was relayed to the customer and the time on the order was stated as 12 pm – 5 pm. The day of the delivery, two additional items were requested and quickly added to the order to be delivered that afternoon. At this time the customer once again requested AM delivery and was told the order was scheduled for delivery on this day, however as previously stated would not be in the morning.
The delivery did go out the next day, Sept. 9/14, at approx. 2:00 pm. At the second location 4 x 10 sheets were ordered but could not be delivered as the customer provided us incorrect delivery information on the access to the home, the sheet would not fit down the stairwell. These sheets were returned to the warehouse and immediately a full refund was processed for Drywall Taping.ca.
Later on the same day, Sept. 9/14, Drywall taping.ca contacted us and requested replacement 4 x 8 sheets for the previously refunded 4 x 10 sheets. They also requested same day delivery for these sheets. Once again they were told that this was not possible but we would be pleased to place an order for the replacement sheets and have delivery set for the next day as long as we received the order by 4:30 pm. Several calls were made back and forth as Drywall Taping.ca demanding the first delivery of the day, “once again” we were unable to guarantee. Once we had the final confirmation the order was processed at 5:03 pm, well past our 4:30 dead line for next day delivery. The owner called again and wanted first delivery of the morning. We indicated that we would do our best but as it was a late day order we could not guarantee morning delivery but it would be delivered the next day as early as possible. The order was delivered the next day Sept. 10/14 shortly after noon.Sept. 11/14 we received several calls from Drywall Taping.ca. At first they was requesting to speak to the general manager who was unavailable, the owner of Drywall Taping.ca became very irritable and rude. The owner went on accusing 1-800 Drywall for charging him for materials he did not receive, not refunding his money on the returned items, not ordering the correct items, and telling them the order would be there in the morning when they never arrived until afternoon. Not one of his accusations are true as every order was confirmed via phone and Order Summaries (Receipts) were sent by email the day before the order was to be delivered and not once did we get a call of an incorrect order. We also provided a full and complete refund of all the drywall sheets that could not be delivered, even though no fault of our as the customer provided the incorrect information about the delivery on Sept 9/14.
At this point the owner stated that he wanted nothing more to do with 1-800 Drywall and no further contact. It was decided that 1-800 Drywall, nor any company for that matter, should be bullied into demands that are unrealistic therefore 1-800 Drywall made the decision to focus its business on companies that are respectful and respected the wishes of Drywall Tapping.ca to avoid any further contact.
1-800 Drywall has all documentation to support its position in this matter.
