J&M General Contracting Out Of Business

We hired J&M Contracting to remove a hot tub that was in our basement. Jeff came over and gave us a quote a few days later. It was very reasonable and Jeff came across as very professional. They showed up every day around 8am and stayed until they work was completed. The area where the hot tub was located was in a corner of the basement and we wanted it removed and that corner finished to match the rest of the basement. Jeff and Mike came through with flying colours. The basement looks fantastic. Our kids now have more room to play and the whole area looks great. They even found the time to install a vanity in our powder room which was messed up from a previous job. I would definitely hire Jeff and Mike again without hesitation. They do all interior work as well as landscaping. FYI. Thanks guys for a job well done.

From start to finish Jeff and Mike did an incredible job.
The job was to construct a roof structure which covered my stamped concrete deck from the elements and also to re surface my garden shed in cedar. From A to Z They did it all and the results were fantastic. All the cedar was stained and as you can see in the pictures it a whole new backyard oasis now.

Jeff and Mike were always here and always in communication with me even when I was not on site. Attention to finer details was fantastic no short cuts with these two guys.
Also they both came up with great suggestions and design ideas with my project and worked very well together.

Not only did they work on the hottest days of the summer in scotching heat but they also were here on the weekends to finish up the job. Clean professional and reliable what more can you ask for.

From day 1, Mike & Jeff were very professional, and detailed.
They walked me through everything they were doing, and explained the process to me. Both were very patient with me while I struggled with some of the finer details. They were respectful of our home at all times, and cleaned up daily. I can honestly say...I've never seen a man on his knees cleaning a floor...until Mike did it at my home. Jeff is very detail oriented, and has very high expectations of himself. Mike is an absolute gentleman, and both made this renovation a pleasant experience. I had Jeff and Mike Finish my basement, it was bare block basement cold and damp. Jeff and Mike came in, layed a sub floor, framed in a bedroom, laundry room and recroom then did the drywalling tapeing and finishing. I was very impressed with there work progress everyday. They where very professional and informant, they impressed me to tell you the truth. Now I have a warm dry finished basement which added to my living space. I just wanted to start off by saying how professional Jeff and Mike of J&M General contracting are. After recently having my kitchen renovated I was in need of some painters to do all the floor trim throughout the lower level and paint my kitchen and laundry room. The work they did was incredible with no paint lines and cleanliness was a 10+++. Both Jeff and Mike were very informative and maintained constant communication throughout the whole job. I also had them assemble and instal a laundry room sink which they did an excellent job on! I would DEFINATELY reccomended J&M Contracting to any of my
Friends and will be using them again in the near future.

Mike and Jeff were recommended by a friend of mine, I take referrals very seriously. Mike came out to give me an estimate on my place, we had done the framing and they were hired to provide the drywall, install mud and tape it ready for us to prime and paint.

They were very polite and professional, cleaned up each night even when we said not to bother, "it's just what we do" It was certainly welcomed as we have 2 smaller kids that would have made a mess going between living and construction mess. They navigated expertly through my uneven walls and less than level conditions, my place was built in 1955.

They worked hard to make sure everything was as perfect as it could be, made some design suggestions and overall made it look better than I thought it would turn out. They are friendly, fun to talk to and overall great guys to have working for you.

They came when they said they would and finished before my deadline which was great to allow me some rest before the kitchen arrives.

I would not hesitate for a moment to hire them again for another project, Well Done Guys !

Called up Jeff and Mike on a recommendation. My wife and I had been searching for a while for a good contractor to have a new cedar deck built (we had to remove our old one last fall for some roof repairs). My wife called them and we didn't have to wait for days for them to come to the house. They came right away, listened to what we wanted, saw some photos of what we liked and the next day gave us a quote. The price was fair and they were extremely professional, courteous and did a great job.

They started when they said they would (very important) and Mike had a few design suggestions along the way - all of which added to the safety (important as we have kids) and overall look of the deck.

Mike and Jeff worked through some really hot days and were always pleasant and courteous. Even the landscaping crew from the house next door commented how nice these two young guys were. It really makes a difference to have considerate and genuinely nice contractors. It makes things easier for everybody.

The job was done quickly and the guys left no mess behind. I'll probably be calling J&M for other jobs.
