Rogers was quite helpful in answering my questions even before I booked him for inspections. He even came earlier than our appointment which I appreciate and took the time to explain everything and the report he provided was very detailed with lots of pictures since I wouldn't be able to remember everything!
However, I will not recommend him to anyone. I have gone through many services who were dishonest and no integrity and cost us thousands of dollar and affected us physically and emotionally. So I value honesty. So the main reason I chose this company because it had 30 days guarantee after you closed the house. I thought this will give me extra protection. However, when we moved in the garage did not work at all. So I thought the guarantee will kick in however this is the respond I got, "Both doors were tested and working at time of inspection. It is not my responsibility or job to go back after an inspection to make a repair or fix something that was broken after the inspection was completed." I asked few times what exactly does this guarantee cover then and I never got an answer. If only he handled this differently, I would not think I was deceived. He could have apologize the guarantee wasn't clear and explain it to me what exactly it covers but the reply I got just tells me guarantee means nothing even though on his website he claims "The “Barrie Home Inspector”, is the only home inspector in Simcoe County to offer a money-back guarantee if not 100% satisfied. No questions asked, money cheerfully refunded." This never came true. So I will not take away the quality of his service however, if you pick him based on the guarantee, you need to reconsider or ask LOTS of questions regarding the guarantee.
