Garaventa Lift Bc

We purchased two Garaventa inclined wheelchair lifts. We have had nothing but constant issues with these poor quality flimsy easy to break down important product. The wheelchair platform that is made to fold up and not block exit or stairway, constantly breaks down, goes out of adjustment etc. we use this very little and even with that little use it breaks down constantly. It blocks the exit, takes a very long time for repair person to come out from companies they few and far between to repair it at a massive cost per hour, drive time etc. we have spent thousands repairing this junk, and it sits broken for days or weeks while we have to hand carry people up and down the stairs l, if we can. These lifts are so poorly made that all the installers and repair people
tell me they have constant problems. Garavanta
could care less and to get them to do anything is like moving a mountain. Today is about 2 weeks it has been broke and the repair man could not fix it on his first time out last week, $1500 to not repair and now tells me it is about $1600 more if we want it fixed, and that will last about 30 rides before it breaks again. Cables come off pullies and they have to take it completely apart to put back on and then it happens again. What a nightmare since day one !!

This is the best elevator company in BC. They are completely code compliant, unlike their competitors, and have excellent products and customer service. I would highly recommend this company to anyone who needs a residential or commercial elevator. My friend used one of the other guys and deeply regrets his decision. Garaventa is the best!

We had this elevator already installed in the house we had purchased. The technician who came to do an annual maintenance was polite but I think the cost is a little on the high side especially for something we barely use.
