I mistakenly thought I would save money with "Flatrate" moving. Ya - the flat rate just kept going up and up. I mentioned 3 times to the person on the phone that I wanted packing and the movers arrived surprised that packing was involved. Needless to say at that point they weren't too careful with my things as they weren't expecting the extra time it would take. Things are not blanket wrapped but bubble wrapped poorly. Once they had my goods FlateRate asked for another $700 in insurance. Well - at this point they have my goods and I have seen how badly that I figured I didn't have much of a choice. Do not be fooled by "FlatRate". They get you on every angle. I should have used Moishes as I have in the past where everything is clear at the outset financially and they treat your furniture with care. I also have used Booska a small family run firm out of vermont who are great.
