Exterior Paint Job and Gutter Installation
Efa from ProRise was the initial person I dealt with and she happened to be one of those salespeople who wasn't pushy. In fact she was the one who suggested I get multiple quotes. So I did.
After gathering my quotes I decided on two of the four companies. One of them was Pro-Rise and therefore Efa set out to get me a great price while at the same time not compromising their quality of work. With that said, Pro-Rise isn't the cheapest company but as the saying goes, you get what you pay for.
I was hoping to get a very favourable price for the job as we wanted to change our gutters from grey to black, one option was to paint them, the other option was to get new gutters entirely.
This is where Joseph the owner came in (who also happens to handle the gutter division of the company). We were able to hammer out a great price which included a full paint job of the exterior (siding + fascia board) and all new gutters with a bit of extras thrown in (Leaf guard + clean out boxes).
It was too good of a deal to pass up so we definitely signed on the dotted line.
Pro-Rise is a very procedural company. They have their way of organizing and handling their jobs. What this means is that there are pre-laid out stages of your job. First stage includes soft pressure washing (Kasteel Exterior Cleaning), followed by a decorator who comes to your house to help you choose your paint colour (Emilija Matas, who happens to be really great). About a week or two later the painters arrive and prep the job before any paint is even on site.
You typically think the quality of paint job is what matters but if you actually observe where most of the work (I assume for a great painting company) it's actually how they prepare the work site. When I say Pro-Rise, and specifically Hemm's team meticulously preps your house to make sure paint doesn't get where it shouldn't, it would be an understatement. The taping and covering of our newly powder coated black railings was a work of art. They taped off every window and door and accommodated our leaving and entering of the home when it was important.
The paint job consisted of the initial spray paint, back rolling for one coat on the siding. Then again, another coat which included spraying and then back rolling.
The trim and fascia board followed. The two guys doing most of the trim were named Samy and Saeed. They both took their time and did a meticulous job on the trim, especially on the fascia board.
After finishing both coats of the siding, and working on the second coat of the trim. Both Samy and Saeed did a great job on the touch ups. They didn't rush and they listened attentively with a sense of care to make sure we were happy with the end product.
Before, during, and after the paint job (and even after the gutter job), Alvin who was the stand in production manager was phenomenal. How this guy isn't the production manager or even higher, blows my mind. He's professional, has an eye for everything painting, and is personable in the sense you know he views your job with the same degree of care as if it was his own family member. It's rare to encounter guys like him as most companies employ people who view the bottom line over making people happy.
Alvin came over to do a few touch ups that were imperative and pertinent to the job being completed to "our satisfaction". He not only did them, but came over with a smile. I think his jobs mostly include both painting and making the customer happy. He obviously enjoys his job because he's great at both.
The gutter install was so quick and painless, there isn't much to say about it other than what was promised, was delivered. They look great.
Lastly, we have Joseph, the owner and Efa. They were both very johnny on the spot when it came to everything to do with the job. They were always a phone call away and were never shy about returning phone calls to deal with any issue I had.
Joseph and Efa put our happiness and satisfaction above the companies bottom line multiple times.
