We have a sun room in our house with windows facing east, west and south and needed window treatments that would stand up to sunlight all day throughout the year. Kim was great in helping us with getting the style and design we wanted that was practical and gorgeous. She explained what we needed to consider in fabric and design for an end result that was attractive yet practical. She was honest, timely and delivered exactly as promised. I would highly recommend her services.

We met Kim by accident at the paint store. She helped us pick an initial colour for our wall and then came over to our home for a colour consultation. Her advice was comprehensive and detailed and she understood our design goals immediately. She was generous with her time and so helpful. I have recommended her to many of our friends and neighbours since then. I am not sure what I would have done without her.

Despite being happily married for 20+ years, my husband and I have very different tastes in home decor, plus we were both overwhelmed with option paralysis as we combed online and offline resources and stores.

Down to Earth Decor is an absolute joy to work with. Kim took the time to get to know mine and my husband's taste and preferences for our new home. We recently consulted Down to Earth to help make many of the choices for our new home: everything from paint colour, to the type of flooring, the stain on the stairs, the tile in the bathrooms, the cabinetry throughout the house. We consulted Down to Earth Decor to help us finalize our colour scheme and answer some more technical questions around how to treat trim, paint rails, bannisters etc.. Kim quickly grasped the look we were going for and put together a colour board that became the base for all of our decisions. Hugely helpful, friendly and professional, with a real understanding of palettes, I highly recommend her services.

I recently moved into a larger condo downtown that needed a bit of updating. I appreciated Kim's approach in terms of finding out my likes and dislikes and then adding value with her ideas and suggestions. The colour scheme she picked out for the whole place really flows well and I've had many compliments. Kim also did a great job at creating concept boards, managing the contractors and purchasing specific furniture items that complemented existing pieces. This project covered quite a bit of territory including furniture refinishing, drapery, upholstery, cabinet construction, painting, etc. Kim took care of all the details making the experience of such a large renovation as pleasant as it could me. I was very pleased where we ended up and intend to have her back to do my next project.

Kim of Down to Earth Decor was FANTASTIC! She perfected a whole new living space for me. There was no semblance to my basement and she came in and designed a beautiful new living area -- sassy curtains, a cute and functional folding laundry rack and an amazing new closet. She listened to my needs, my aesthetic preferences and offered valuable advice. In addition to her obvious talent for assessing a space and anticipating her client's needs, she created an easy rapport which in turn gave me an outcome that far exceeded my expectations.
