Granitec

I was recommended by a neighbour to visit Granitec for a kitchen reno. When I went to their showroom, I was greeted with a very friendly and welcoming smile by their salesperson, Robin. She explained the processes and described the differences between natural and manmade stone. With that, we chose Frosty Carina Caesarstone Quartz (manmade). I gave them the layout of my countertop and within about 10 minutes, they had an estimate prepared for me. They offered a no-charge upgrade for my edging, which was great! After going to a couple other shops for pricing, this price was very reasonable and I signed the contract. It took about 3 weeks for the install as also included was the templater to come to my home which was done 3 days after I signed. I am SO pleased with the assistance at Granitec. Julie was also very pleasant to deal with and also smiled (which is rare these days). Thank you Granitec for making my kitchen, my dream kitchen! I will definitely be recommending you to my family & friends! (I have my sister-in-law ready to change their dreadful countertop ). Yay Me- I’m so happy!

Julie was exceptionally helpful and very knowledgeable about the products. She patiently explained on company processes and timelines and I was happy to know there was a company that took the time to do that for me. Other than the overwhelming (yet exciting) experience to choose my granite, everything worked out perfectly.
Prior to Granitec, I went to 2 other fabricators and they were good, but Julie and the staff were better- Customer Service was definitely the deciding factor. Pricing was a little higher, but you get what you pay for.
All in all, I am so pleased, ecstatic actually, with my whole experience with Granitec. I couldn't be happier with my decision.
To anyone actually reading this, I highly recommend Julie and her staff at Granitec to make and install your countertop.

Wow great service with the girls at Granitec ! Julie and Diane helped me with my marble counters and gave me great advice... They even went the extra mile and helped me pick my backsplash and tile... I couldn't have done it without them. Very professional, workmanship was amazing and the installers were extremely polite and did a great job. My kitchen looks perfect and I couldn't be happier. Granitec installed Quartz counter tops in our kitchen. Things started well with Julie who is very nice and helpful. Adam, the guy who took the measurements however is rude and unfriendly. Frank, the installer, on the other hand is great. The main issues started when I observed that the countertop stained incredibly easy even from a glass of water sitting on the bench for a while (not even overnight). The stains were very difficult to remove to the point I asked Granitec to help. Frank came and was able to remove some stains but not all. Then Bob, the national technical advisor for Caesarstone, came and told me the reason why the counter top stained so easily was that Granitec coated it with wax which they are not supposed do to. The water reacts with the wax forming a ring around the glass. He got annoyed and said this is the reason why he has to make so many house calls. He was able to remove the wax which seems to have solved the problem of easy staining (beware that this changes the color slightly, the counter top is lighter now). However, now I can see whitish stripes on the counter top when the light shines in through the windows. One of them I could see before but not the others. I am thinking that the wax covered them up. I am still trying to resolve this issue but Caesarstone says this is not a material fault and Granitec tells me my issue is with Caesarstone. Generally, communication after we paid the deposit for the counter top has been terrible (before it was great). I had a hard time reaching somebody to schedule the installation and getting hold of Diana, who seems to be in charge of after sales issues, is incredibly difficult if not impossible. So far she has not returned any of my calls so I think we are stuck with the counter top now.

Julie from Granitec was hands down the most patient person I've ever worked with and was incredibly generous with her time, to the point of driving to meet me at the 'warehouse' of granite, quartz and marble numerous times over the course of six months while I made my mind up. In addition to knowing everything about the different materials, she has a great design sense and is focused on finding the best match for the client and the material/ color patterns. We just had the granite installed yesterday and could not be happier with it. Kudos to Julie and everyone at Granitec for their experience, professionalism and great customer service!

Granitec did a beautiful job matching the seams of my kitchen counter top. From the time the space was measured to the install date was less than 2 weeks.

Julie responded quickly to emails and the installers were meticulous.

(My only concern was the fellow they sent to do the measurements was rude to my cabinet installers and myself. I believe he is subcontracted by them though and not an employee of Granitec)

I recommend their work highly.
