I recently completed a legal basement apartment. Colony Electric provided all the electrical work in a reasonable time and at a reasonable price, all the work was done professionally and I would recommend their services.

Andy has worked on our place on numerous occasions and came referred through a contractor friend of mine. He was always direct and completed the jobs as he said he would. I would recommend him to anyone seeking a qualified, reliable, (and kind) electrician.

After calling several other electricians and having them miss quoting appointments, cancel actual days scheduled to begin work (Hansco), I contacted Andy at Colony. I was really frustrated at getting someone to come to my home and redo all of the electric in my garage. I had 4 new circuits run, 5 outlets added to the garage, 2 light fixtures installed in the ceiling, 1 GFI outlet added on the front porch (for the wife's XMas lighting needs) and light up house numbers installed. Andy was patient with me during our conversation on the phone and NEVER said anything negative about the contractors I had contacted before. Instead he showed up at the scheduled apt time and provided a quote (extremely competitive to others I had received), when I called him back and gave him the go ahead, he provided a date and time that worked for me and took on the job. His crew arrived exactly on time and worked diligently through the day and got the work done and it turned out even better than I could ever have anticipated. After we came up with the initial plan, he kept me in the loop with where they were at. He made suggestions that I hadn't even thought of, such as trying to minimize the number of holes drilled in the drywall and having to cut out sections of drywall and re-patching etc. When they finished, the only way you could tell anything was done was a tiny 2" cut out in my drywall which was patched in less than 2 minutes. When I called Andy 2 days later once I realized the previous homeowners must have fiddled with the 3way switch wiring so that the lights did not work correctly, Andy stopped by the next day and had it resolved in under 4 minutes. This was NOT something they installed, the switches were pre-existing; they simply replaced the fixture so it was not his responsibility. Courteous, on time, helpful and very professional. That is how I would describe Andy and team.

We had purchased our first resale home and had several in-depth renovations that we took on. Of course when you start out you don’t realize how difficult the process is going to be but Andi made it much easier than we had anticipated. When we were searching for an electrician he immediately made us feel comfortable with his professional knowledge, years of expertise, and his keen eye for aesthetics. Andi surely is an all-in-one electrical professional who was able to turn our vision into a reality. He was efficient, inviting, and knew everything that there was to know about the electrical work in our home. There were times when we had questions at odd hours of the night or in the middle of the work week and he was more than willing to call us and come to our home to answer our questions and guide us through the process. The job was honestly a huge undertaking and he handled it with ease and it was done way ahead of schedule.

It’s sincerely difficult to express the sheer amount of gratitude that we have for everything that he has done for us and we surely intend on working with him again in the near future. If you’re looking for an electrician that will take your concerns into consideration and make sure that the job is done right the first time around, he’s certainly the person you should call.

My husband and I are going through a major renovation which required replacing all of the electrical in our home. I met Andy at Colony through our contractor; we hired his company to replace our service panel. Andy was extremely knowledgeable and made recommendations to save money. He kept me in the loop throughout the project and completed ahead of schedule, ESA stamped and all. His team was friendly and professional and we couldn't be happier. After that experience we hired Andy for all of our electrical needs. He spent time with us going through each room and again made recommendations regarding where lighting should be placed, convenience of switch locations, under counter lighting, what the code requirements are etc. It made us feel he was interested and invested in our project, that we weren’t just another “job”.
