I am so happy with how my yard is looking this spring. I consulted with Michelle last summer and got Sterling to redo all of my tired garden beds. They also fixed my privacy issue along the side of my house. I had them come back in the fall to do a full garden cleanup and everything looks amazing with the snow gone. I can’t wait to have them back this season to keep things looking great!

I have worked with Mike and Michelle and their team on many projects for over 10 years including an EPI deck, flagstone patio, fence, yearly spring cleanup and ongoing maintenance of my lawn and gardens. My lawn was a nightmare and I figured it was beyond repair and that we would have to scrape and sod the entire area. I spoke with Michelle the owner about how best to tackle the situation and she assured me they would have it looking great within 6-8 weeks. By the time summer came around my grass was in amazing shape and the gardens pristine. In 2019, Sterling Landscape (Mike and crew), did an extensive pool deck renovation in my yard. Due to property limitations all the work had to be hand dug and removed. The old patio stones were removed from my deck area Including all the area around the pool. The old gravel, dirt and sub structure was removed to a depth of 14" and replaced with new gravel and limestone. Meticulous care was given to the stone alignment, matching stone texture and colour of the natural slate squares. As this was natural stone, many pieces had to be rejected. Each stone had to be levelled and fitted as each piece was unique. This was very time-consuming, but necessary as bare feet would be running around on this stone. The new stone deck was beautiful, a work of art. Also Mike removed many old junipers and replaced them with new trees; a copper beach hedge, and various unique evergreen species and unusual perennials which all appear to have survived the winter. The deck is perfect after the winter snow and thaw. Mike was open to my ideas, listened to my concerns and was very patient with my questions. His crew was friendly, co-operative and appeared to enjoy working with Mike. Mike is very knowledgeable and experienced about stone design and plant botany. This extensive renovation took over 1 month. At the end of the day, the worksite was left clean and safety was considered. I am so pleased with the outcome of this renovation and will definitely hire Sterling Landscape to replace my fence in the future. Mike showed me photos of fences that he had designed and installed for other clients. These fences were extraordinary in their concepts and quite unique. This company was recommended to me by a friend and I would not hesitate to recommend Sterling Landscape to any of my friends. Considering all the work that was done on this renovation, I feel that his pricing was reasonable (I had other quotes). The team worked diligently to meet timelines. When the job was completed Mike did a property cleanup for no charge and put in extra plants for no charge. He went beyond the confines of the contract that was agreed upon. I highly recommend this company and I will continue to call on them for my future landscape needs.

I enjoyed my experience with Sterling Landscape. Mike is very knowledgeable about plant material, and is very detail oriented in his carpentry work. The crew was friendly and efficient, and I am thrilled with how the space turned out! My family is spending more time outside, having this lovely retreat has really improved our quality of life.

The owner of the company is extremely stubborn and temperamental. We specifically requested that the existing perennials be dug out before planting new material and we requested 3" of fresh topsoil before sodding which he insisted was not necessary. The lawn is a mess because the soil is poor, we constantly have to dig old perennials and he would not warranty the dead plant material within the year citing that he could not afford to because he can't afford a house himself at 37 years of age.

Sterling landscape built us a beautiful backyard with ipe deck. Their quote was fair for materials being used and the amazing backyard transformation has been throughly enjoyed since it’s completion a few years ago. I would highly recommend them for all your landscape construction needs. Thanks for your hard work

I wish to tip my hat to Sterling Landscape, Mike and Michelle, for their excellent job of cleaning all the fall leaves on my property. I have a huge neighbour's maple tree which covers my whole backyard. My yard was covered in leaves!!! Sterling Landscape went ahead, cleanly and efficiently removed all the leaves and debris that has collected on my property. Also as a complimentary service, they took all the debris and leaves with them to the disposal. I highly recommend their professionalism and efficiency to anyone who needs a job well-done.
