False sales agent introduction. On November 02 2015, Two sales agent knock my door, introduce them self as Enbridge Sales Agents and indicate that I have been selected on a random draw for HVAC utility upgrade free of charge and asked to enter the house to check the furnace and A/C. After looking at them they said my furnace and A/C was qualified for free upgrade and asked me for my enbridge gas bill. On November 04 2015 they came back, replaced my furnace which I had no problem with and they asked me to sign the receipt which was confirming installation of a furnace and a monthly fee of $79.99 + HST. I was told that there will be a monthly rental fee but it will be covered by rebates from government and manufacture. On November 18 2015 they came back again and they said they will bring the new A/C and will replace with the old one on November 19 2015, my A/C was only 2 years old. I thought all these was part of the program, they removed my A/C which was almost brand new and installed their new one 2 weeks later I received my first enbridge gas bill after installation of furnace and A/C and I found the monthly rent of $79.99 + HST for the furnace and $69.99 + HST for the A/C on my bill. I called enbridge, shared my concern and I was told that not only the agents was not employee of enbridge nor there is such a thing as random draw for free HVAC upgrade. After I referred to the contract and wrote the fine prints, I almost lost my breath, they had signed me up for a 15 years lease, the furnace will cost me $16270 and A/C will cost me $14236. I am 65 years old and live on pension fixed income and even if these was not s.........m, I could never afford additional $170 per month for these rentals. Also I noticed that they are operating under 2 company names. Watch out for this company names and stay away from them: ONTARIO CONSUMERS HOME SERVICES & ECO ENERGY SERVICES
I want my old furnace and A/C back and cancel the 15 years lease contract.

I loved the agent he was great explained how the unit pays for itself and now I am enjoying renting from Ontario consumers home services they are the best and when I had my furnace broken after five years they replaced it they helped me resolve my water problem they were so nice they even fixed my AC as well I would always recommend Ontario consumers to everybody

We purchased a home a few years back and got stuck with an Ontario consumers water heater. We were told it would be 800 to cancel the water heater and that the contract is going to be another 8 years. Now we have 6 years left on the contract and its 1200 to get out of it.

The heater itself is extremely unsafe and it has taken me three days to get them to fix it. The finally told me to unplug it. The temperature on vacation mode is 141 degrees! 141 degrees and they want me to fix it myself by adjusting the settings and such.

This company has been a nightmare from the get go. Each year the rental goes up. We are paying twice the industry standard for water heater rentals.

Be warned. Don't ever use this company!

We have almost same story as Anson, maybe, same salesperson who could speak mandarin. We recieved bill today and shows additional $49.99+tax. We realize that it was a trap. Actually, we had already installed water softener before this, but we thought it could make water more healthy, so we installed. OCHS, please tell me how much the equipment worth. You charge us 49.99+tax/ month rental fee, and 120 month is $6778.64. Crazy! Black heart!

Made a TERRIBLE mistake by signing a contract with them. Sales reps came to my door to sell their "amazing" furnace and offered all of these great benefits, we should've known better that there was a catch. 2 years later, we are now moving and are forced to pay $7513 to buyout the furnace!!!!! That is RIDICULOUS. After paying $75 every month to RENT the furnace, we now have to buy it out for $7513, we can't even cancel the contract early and return the furnace! Not to mention, Sena their customer service rep gave me attitude throughout the entire conversation with him. Even rubbed in that I should've read the contact more carefully when I signed it. Truly the worse nightmare dealing with this company. PLEASE DO NOT sign ANY contract with this Ontario Consumers, do not make the same mistake as I.

There were 2 guys who came to my house on August 8 . They told me that they were from Enbridge .And wanna check my basement . After that ,they told me that I have to install water softer in my basement . In the meanwhile they asked me for the Enbridge Gas bill . I thought they were from Enbridge Gas so I showed the bill to they . One guy who can speak mandarin told me that my gas bill $135 have already included the water softer . Which means I no need to pay for the water softer . Actually I doubted it. So I asked that guy many times just for confirmed .He told me that I no need to pay . Be honestly , if he told me that I will be charged 49.99each month plus tax , I probably will rent the water softer ,but he deceived me . I have already checked my bill with Enbridge Gas and there is a 56.48 charged from Ontario consumers home service . I still can not understand why they deceived me? I am alone in this country , I still believe this issue will be solved in the near future . Because here is Canada .

Never sign any contract with them. Take it from me, it was a very costly mistake.

They came to my house the first week I moved to my new house. As I was burdened with the move, carrying furniture and settling in, they took this opportunity to screw me over.

They presented their pitch as "There is no catch", "Its Hassle-free", and "Life-time warranty".

After I blindly signed the contracts for a NEW Furnace, NEW Air conditioner and NEW Water Heater... I find out several months later that the contracts are for 10 YEARS !!!!! That's right ... 10 YEARS!!!!

That means $59.99/Mth for Furnace, $59.99/Mth for Air Conditioner and $27.98/Mth for Water heater.

$147.96 + TAX + Interest = 10 YEARS!!!!!! Thats approximately $20,000 in 10 years.

To add the cherry on top, I called a REAL HVAC technician, and he said that the Air conditioner is too small for my house, the gas was never filled properly in the air conditioner, the furnace is also too small for the house, the EnergyGuide were just random stickers taped on the units and the water heater has already broken down twice within the first year. The so called NEW units were over charged. Exmaple: Ontario Home services shows on my contact that the New air conditioner is $4599.99. The exact same unit or EVEN better, bigger stronger cost $3000 at most. So where did they get the number? god knows.

The Furnace and Air conditioner are "Goodman". Also another cheap brand as per experts.

So there you have it. This is how Ontario home services screws you over. DO NOT SIGN ANY CONTRACTS WITH THEM EVER. Better yet, don't rent. Go buy the unit outright and you are better off.

I'm living proof that Ontario Home Services are scaammers. Stay away from them.

Terrible service unit doesn't work properly and no one will return your calls and they tell you that speak to a manager and you never hear from them again they told me you would lower my bills my bills of almost double wouldn't recommend them to anybody

I got a furnace and an air conditioner from ontario consumers. The whole experience was great! I dont understand why people write bad reviews about this company...Sales people that knocked my door were not aggressive at all. They were polite and very straightforward. My furnace and air con were 11 years old so I've already considered changing them but never had enough money for that. When they explained how it all works I was happy that I dont have to pay thousands of dollars upfront and can do it on a monthly basis. The next day I had two technicians in my house for an installation. Everything was done nicely and they didnt leave any mess after them. They also put a new thermostat and carbon monoxide detector. After the installation I had the sales people back to make sure I was happy with it - very nice of them. So far I have no problems with the new equipment.

This is the worst company to deal with ever!!!!!!! DO NOT DEAL WITH THEM!!!!! There service is terrible. They promise things that they cannot deliver. They are so unorganized. Service reps do not show up for appointments when they are supposed to. There is no one to even speak with when this happens. I regret ever dealing with them!!!
