Hot Water Tank

First they come in and scare the ** out of you and promise a gov rebate, that still hasn't shown up.

They say it'll reduce your energy bill at the end of your cycle, - it didn't.

Then they come to inspect it about 2 months later and blackmail you to rent other equipment by saying if you don't it will void your warranty.

They're constantly showing up unannounced, they're invasive. I actually hate this company.

Do not buy anything from them.

Air Conditioner

I got tired of waiting for someone to come fix my AC! Twice this summer I had it break down on me. I young fellow came by and I was telling me about a discount on my tank, which I did take I mean 25% less than I'm already paying is an obvious decision. Well they came by the next day and put in a brand new AC unit, and my furnace is already only 4 years old so no one told me that if you have an old AC it could void the warranty on the furnace if it leaks in.

What a big help! very informative and friendly, and showed me how to use my new tank settings after it was installed, he came by to make sure even! 5 star service for sure.

Furnace, AC, Water Treatment System

Reps came to my door Jun 11 2015 to do an inspection to see if all is up to code with my furnace. They said my pipes were outdated & leaking Carbon Monoxide. They said the government was running a program replacing outdated furnaces & pipes for safety & energy savings. They said I qualified for the program. They threw in a Humidifier & new A/C for supposedly $30/mth due to health issues I had with my elderly mother & young children. They said t it would cost me $30/mth because I qualified for all 3 items and would receive a $1200 rebate as well. They were here the next day & installed. I got my first Enbridge Bill & asked about the $80 charges per product. I couldn't believe it. I also learned after research on here, that they put a lien on my house for the equipment. I NEVER got a copy of the terms & agreement until I called & demanded they email it. It also looked like the $80 cost was written in on the contact after I signed it as the pen colour is different. I am so disgusted and called the CPO immediately & will be filing a complaint to get rid of this lien on my house which was never mentioned to me. I never heard anything about $80 monthly fees for the equipment or I would not have done it. I requested to cancel the water treatment system too. I can't believe how they take advantage of people. I am so disgusted. I work in social media and have access to thousands of people. I will be yelling from the rooftops on all social media outlets for people to not be sucked into this & open their door to these people to be taken advantage of. This better be resolved asap or I will become their worst nightmare online.

Rented Water Heater

This is the second time in about a year we have had issues with our water heater. No hot water. But its the service that is so very poor! I am regretting ever renting from this company. Their 800 support can only communicate to the technical support through email. This is what their 800 support told me yesterday. The service is slow. They do not seem to care. And their rentals are over priced. I've called 5 times since yesterday. And 1 reply this morning. I doubt I will ever use them again. Still waiting for a scheduled time for them to come and fix my water heater! I really want to cancel but refuse to over pay. Its now 4:30pm. Two different people have called me back after me calling 2 more times today. All saying they will call me back and let me know when a tech will come by or I have to wait another day! Well 2 days and the guy showed up at 10:15 pm. Apparently some part was corroded. He sanded it and left? Was here 10 minutes. All that frustration and waiting for a 10 minute job?.....Lesson learned!

New high efficency Lennox gas furnace

My parents have a 21 year old mid-efficient Carrier furnace and 9 year old 60 gallon conventional vent rental water heater. They are just 2 people in a 2600ft family home that watch their energy conservation religiously but never upgraded to high efficiency over the last couple decades. Last time I visited my parents we started talking about their HVAC equipment and realized the age of their units and their fuel costs that they're trying to conserve. Knowing some people who work at Ontario Consumer Home Services I made a phone call for mom and dad to figure if they could save money by upgrading to new high efficient equipment. Not only did the people at OCHS calculate our exact savings based on consumption and equipment comparisons but they also approved my parents for a brand new Lennox SLP98V flagship furnace on a rent-to-own program with no upfront costs. And the kicker was that they also offered a cheaper water heater rental that was the same size and brand new. As if it couldn't get any better we were even eligible for a $250 rebate from the government. Their equipment, service and financing options are among the best of HVAC outfitters. I'm very impressed and would highly recommend OCHS to our friends and family.

Furnace and AC

They showed up when I specifically asked them not to on installation days. They left a MESS everywhere they went. It took them 2 weeks to connect my AC unit, they forgot. They removed my outdoor water piping. Still waiting to be able to water my garden. Its July 7th. They did not even finish the large white piping in basement, there is a huge gap in my exhaust pipe for the furnace. Is my family in jeopardy here? Please help...

HOT WATER TANK

TOTAL NIGHTMARE TO DEAL WITH. Woke up to NO hot water and when I called, they don't open till 8 and in the meantime you freeze yourself with only cold water. WHAT HAPPEN TO THEIR 24 HRS SERVICE & SUPPORT. I hate the day I signed up with them, I am now stuck with them for 10 years. I already told them that i regret going with them but don't see any improvement in their services. Imstead they will send their technical people to check their equipment but it's just another of their tricks to sell you their other products. They should really concentrate on their customers feedback and try to improve their service but NO as their is no money gain in this since whether you are happy or not, they got you for 10 good years.

FOR YOU PEOPLE OUT THERE, BE VERY CAREFUL. DO NOT OPEN YOUR DOOR TO THEM.

Furnace and Air Conditioner

Absolutely a nightmare. Worst experience of my life and biggest mistake I've ever made. The rep came to my door as though from Enbridge doing an inspection on the furnace. He tells me my kids and I will get carbon monoxide poisoning if I don't replace it. Then they say they have to replace the AC unit too. It turns out the AC unit is only 2 years old and didn't need to be replaced at all. I have been trying to get in touch with a manager and no one has called me back. Their '24 hour' turnaround time has now been 4 days and counting. Do not get involved with this company. This is gauging of unsuspecting people.
