It's winter in edmonton, my house is quite old.
My service panel or breaker box looks origional to the home. There's no main breaker and you cannot replace breakers. (I did alot of research as I expected to be paying out of my nose)
I was able to get my furnace hooked up to a generator but this was not ideal.
I called robart electrical, immediately I was impressed by their customer service.
My situation was not an easy fix. The day fallowing our first conversation he called me back with a good temporary solution. (To instal a new service there's around a month long wait for Epcor so I needed something to get me off the generator in the mean time.)
After discussing the situation I had to ask the question I had been dreading.... about how much will this cost? I don't think a more desperate electrical situation exists, so I would have been easy to take advantage of.
"It will just be the cost of a service call" I was so relieved.
They were ready to rescue me the fallowing day. (I was still sceptical)
The electritian showed up on time and ready to get to work. They got me hooked up to the grid again and they were knowledgeable friendly and quick.
They made sure I had SAFE and RELIABLE power. The electritian took a few notes and the next day I was emailed a quote for the service upgrade that I requested the fallowing day. It was accompanied by a friendly phone call from Rob explaining the quote sent and he also made sure I was happy with the emergency service they provided. I have not set up the date for the upgrade yet, Rob also took the time to explain what the city is responsible for and all the ins and outs of the upgrade.
I am a tradesman myself. Rob has been by far the most straight foreward and honest (there were no added expenses, he was more then fair) contractor I have had the pleasure dealing with.
I will update this after I have them preform my upgrade.
I couldn't be any happier with my experience with robart electrical.
