W O Stinson & Son Ltd

Had contracted Stinson for propane. Rented tanks at 6$ per tank. 2 tanks Got our propane from them. Start of season we were going to use them for propane, they refused us service. Sent us bill for tanks at 25$ plus 6$ per tank., stay away from this company at all costs. Read all reviews on them!!

Rented 2 100lb propane tanks and a regulator. I returned one of the tanks then 2 months later the other one and regulator. Upon returning the items the fella tells me he has no invoice pad and to take his word for it that everything is settled and the account will be closed. I said no i want a paper trail. Gives me a piece of paper signed and dated with items returned. Roughly 3 months later i get a call from stinson saying i owe 700$ to replace the items not returned. Lucky i took pictures of the piece of paper. I sent the picture and i was reassured everything will be taken care of. 3 months after that i get a call from collections u owe 700$ plus fees. I said no call stinson and verify cause this already has been dealt with 1 year and 2 months later i find out im still in collections for the matter and has destroyed my credit. No saying sorry or any discounts nothing. I even called back to verify everthing was in order and given a hard time from the collections lady from stinson like i was inconvinencing her. What a slap in the face! All the missed oportunities cause bad credit and i get a kick in the bum and treated like scum. Terrible customer service and will not ever again use them for any of my companies projects. This is unacceptable and existing or futur customers should take my experience into concideration.

Worst service I've had in 31 years. I feel robbed. Do yourself a favour and stay away, I don't usually spend my time posting bad reviews but I feel that this is more of a public warning!

Three furnace oil technicians falsified;
Co. D. First Tech. - oil tank that was not to Code, when it actually was.
Co. D. Second Tech. - water in fuel, then failed to remove it.
Co. F. Third Tech. -water and rust in fuel, then failed to remove it.

STINSON oil technician saved us from the fraudulent.
STINSON the hero that was saw us through to a true conclusion.

I live north of Kingston and recently had a furnace installed. I just want to comment on the excellent service of the two technicians who did the installation, Ben and Bob.

They put up with all of my questions, an excellent installation and left the work site spotless. Both insured that all of my questions were answered before leaving.

I should also note that the individual who provided the quote was also excellent, James Barcelos. The service that was provided was exactly as what was quoted.

Switched from a supplier who was giving me poor service when my furnace died. Stinson took the time to explain the process and the cost (living on a budget) They also took the time to ensure I understood how to care for my new furnace and my propane tanks. I was so happy with the experience that I now get all my gas at their stations on the way home from work. (they are usually cheapest, so that helps too!)

While living in Osgoode, I had WO Stinson regularly deliver my heating oil. I never had any issues and they were great to deal with. They insured that we never ran out even in the dead of winter.

We contacted Stinson when we were exploring options for a furnace replacement. When we decided on a propane system we contacted them to be our distributor and to install the required tanks. They took the time to walk us through what size of tanks we would need along with where we could install them on our property. They made a few site visits and their customer service was excellent.
