G&G Magic Touch Services

G+G Magic Touch Services are the people to call when you want something done well. They take the time to listen to your ideas, consult with you as the project proceeds, explain why certain things need to be done and make sure it comes together perfectly in the end. We hired G&G to lay our tiles for the backsplash in the kitchen of our new house. They did a very nice job and it was clean and efficient. They even picked up the tiles at the store for us so they were very helpful. They were very pleasant to work with so I showed them the basement. It was finished but the floor was just cement and we were looking to gain some headroom and lay carpet. They gave us good suggestions and removed the ceiling, cleaned up all the messy electrical work that lay beneath, (even called in an electrician at no extra cost), moved the ceiling up while installing nice, energy efficient pot lights. They also moved a wall and a drain and the heat vent. All was well discussed with us along the way. There were a few surprises and thanks to the fact that they know how to do it all (electrical/plumbing/cement/ walls/painting) it was not a problem. The job took a little longer than we expected (and we extended it into the hallway and included the painting) but they did a very thoughtful job and we feel that we can really trust the work. Gilles is very knowledgeable about all the above so he was able to give us suggestions. He is sincere and really takes pride in his work. If you are looking for something quick and dirty, he's not your guy but if you are looking to make a permanent, good quality change to your house that you will not regret, call Gail & Gilles. They are also good with dogs, we felt totally comfortable trusting them with our house and dog. We will definitely call them again! thanks so much, our basement looks great! (we got our carpet installed today).

The job was neatly done and all waste were disposed of in a timely manner. They went above and beyond to exchange material that I purchased that were damaged and/or omitted from a big box store. Thank you Gill and Gail.

It has been a pleasure working with Gail and Gilles. They are professional, pay attention to detail, explain the work so I understand it and are thorough in finding additional things in my house that are unsafe and need fixing. I trust their recommendations and their design decisions feeling very confident that they know what they are doing. They also have a good list of colleagues to come and do any work outside of their speciality making them a full service provider. I love my new floor and counter top and I am looking forward to working more with G&G to do more jobs around my house. G&G go above and beyond, stick to their quote, are patient and fair. They were a hit with the neighbours getting to know and work with them also. We engaged this company/partnership in September 2014, to do a bathroom reno.
For the most part the work was acceptable and the difficult shower head was installed quite well. However, the floor tiles were stained with a dirty discolouration that needed to get unsealed and resealed. The angle the tiles were set did not allow the water to drain and now it just sits at the bottom of the shower.
We asked G and G to correct this in December when they finished but they won't return calls and said Gilles was ill.
It is now March and the stall is not right although having paid them for the job, they don't seem to stand behind their work.
So having paid them, they seen to have "magically" vanished much to our dissappointment,without completing the job to our satisfaction.
What have we learned? Hold back final payment till the job is done. There is no guarantee you will see some contractors ever again or will they take your calls.

I found g&g magic touch services on home stars and met with them to discuss my projects. They were very friendly and knowledgeable and we arranged a time to start my projects. Even with multiple hurdles discovered along the way they demolished my kitchen and built me a new one which I adore! Just as I explained I wanted. The bathroom was the same as we discovered hidden nightmares and they tackled each one professionally and patiently. I have recommended them to others and would definitely hire them again. They also installed my floors, in the kitchen, basement and bathroom. Beautiful work.

Gail and Gilles were wonderful, sincere and great at their work. I found them through homestars and was not disappointed. They came on a very cold night and gave us a fair quote. Scheduling was difficult since they were very busy and ours was a small but time consuming job requiring multiple visits. Yet, they agreed to do it, and they did a very thorough and good job too, just as discussed. I will definitely hire them again for small jobs around the house.

Gilles & Gail far exceeded my expectations.
They scheduled me in before my move in date, finished early and the attention to detail blew my mind.

Their work ethic is second to none. I hate to even mention because I feel guilty, but they worked on Gilles birthday to finish the job.

I have to mention again, the quality of the tile work far surpassed my expectations. His detailed and intricate cuts around door jams and such really make the difference.

Will be booking them for future work asap.
