Hidri Contracting Inc. did an outstanding job finishing my basement. Ylber and his team were professional, efficient, and communicative throughout the entire process, from our initial meeting to the final touches. Short Version: We have successfully completed 4 separate projects on our home in Toronto with Ylber and his team. We are very happy with the experience and the finished product. We strongly recommend Hidri Contracting.

Long Version: Our 1895 built home needed a complete gutting and rebuild. We started working with Hidri in 2017 on this project. The scope included the addition of an ensuite bathroom, HVAC work, kitchen reno, structural work and rebuild. Ylber was reliable, honest and friendly. The quote provided was competitive and thorough. As the bones were exposed, we encountered a few unforeseen issues. Ylber provided us with details and solutions which understandably required some additional costs. He was always fair and transparent. We also discovered significant fire damage that was not disclosed. Ylber helped stabilize the situation while we went through the insurance process. He was patience and accommodating to these and did not take advantage of us. In spite of this, he worked around the problems and we were able to live in our home while having a condemned bedroom due to the fire damage.

In 2019 after a good fight with Chicago Title, we rebuilt the fire damaged portion of the house. This required the demo of the back room and structure and we renovated our main bath at that time. We didn't bother shopping the work. Our amazing experience with Hidri along with Ylber's knowledge meant we just had to call him for a quote. Again we felt he was fair and transparent. He ensured the rest of the house was protected from the weather while the roof structure was rebuilt. Again the finished product was fantastic.

2023 was the year we tackled the front yard. Again, we just called Ylber for the work. The old concrete was removed and the new design was executed flawlessly. Ylber is very consultative and we work through the plethora of minor details to ensure we got exactly what we wanted.

2024 we again retained Hidri to renovate the front facade of the house. This was very challenging. Removal of siding and slate, structural work, squaring and plumbing walls and the addition of an extension to our bedroom. It also included window replacements and the installation of scalloped shingles and a beautiful brick veneer. Given we had to order windows Ylber was very accommodating with the waiting for the windows to arrive. He completed as much as possible and then was back the day after the windows were installed to finish the work. The finished product is amazing and something he should be proud of. We absolutely love it!

After all of this I can say that Ylber takes a lot of pride in his work and reputation. Corners will never be cut, even on the things you will never see. Also, based on anecdotes from friends who used other contractors who failed to show up, meet deadlines or communicate, we never had to chase Hidri or worry about the work getting completed.

We fully intend to work with Hidri Contracting once we are ready to work on our backyard and basement in the coming years.

Great quality service provided and always cared for the client. Always kept constant communication about the renovations even while I was busy at work.

The father and son duo definitely nailed the look I wanted for my bathroom and kitchen.

THE WORK INCLUDED SHOWER REPAIR; TOILET, MIRROR, AND VANITY REPLACEMENT; INSTALLATION OF FLOORING; AND PAINTING. ALL THE WORK WAS DONE WITH CARE AND COMPLETED ON TIME. YLBER STAYED WITHIN THE BUDGET.

HE AND HIS FELLOW RENOVATORS WERE FRIENDLY, EFFICIENT, AND MADE CERTAIN OUR CONDO REMAINED CLEANED. THEY USED COVERINGS TO PROTECT THE FLOORS AND PLACED PLASTIC OVER DOOR OPENINGS TO PREVENT DUST FROM SPREADING.

THE RESULT OF THEIR FINE WORK WAS A BEAUTIFULLY UPDATED BATHROOM THAT WE ARE VERY PROUD OF.

I used Hidri Contracting in the past to build an addition on my house and was very satisfied with their work. So naturally when it came to constructing a composite deck on top the garage, around a hot tub, they were my first call. Yiber responds quickly and explains all that is needed but more so, delivers. Ylber and his team did a fantastic job on our renovation project, which included taking down support walls and doing a full tear down and rebuild of our main floor (kitchen, living room, dining room and front entrance) and upgrading our electrical to 200 amp service. Ylber was always communicative, provided great ideas and alternatives when potential issues arose and kept the entire project moving along very quickly and smoothly. My wife and I are extremely happy with the final outcome. I wouldn't hesitate to use Hidri Contracting in the future for any home renovation projects and I have already recommended him to others.
