Dekton Countertops - Nothing but problems!

We had a Dekton kitchen countertops and backsplash fabricated and installed by Crown 11 months ago. Dekton is a terrible product and Crown a terrible fabricator. Within 3 weeks of installation the cooktop counter cracked. They couldnt repair it so Cosentino started a claim. It was decided that it was the fault of Crown Marble and they had to replace the counter. After 11 months they now have taken the old countertop (and wanted out $3000 stove to fabricate the counter) and after over a month they are bringing it back. After a few months the waterfall island started to separate. They used epoxy to rejoin the side piece to the top. It looks terrible. When Cosentino saw it he said he thought it looked dreadful. We had a small ship that our glass soap dispenser hit which they glued back on. Of course it has yellowed and looked terrible now. While cleaning a glass jar, the jar hit the the side of the sink and caused a 1 1/2 inch chunk to come out of the side of the countertop. Crown claims they dont warranty impact. An anvil didnt hit the side of the sink. It was a glass jar! Cosentino doesnt back their product and Crown doesnt back their work. Cosentino even has a video on proper repair of Dekton surfaces which Crown has obviously never seen. Epoxy is not used to repair Dekton, yet Crown uses it as their repair resolution. Their installers scratched all of our cabinets while installing the backsplash. They claim Dekton is a highly durable which is a complete fallacy. I am now waiting for the BBB to step in and deal with the problems. DO NOT USE CROWN MARBLE OR COSENTINO PRODUCTS. There are lots of great products and fabricators in Toronto. Spend your money elsewhere!
