Yesterday morning I discovered my top mount freezer was defrosted. I called in to 3 services on Homestars and left messages. Another called me back and gave an afternoon time frame, but a very high service call fee + and quite a bit more when I described the problem and what he felt the fix was.
Rick called me back within 15 minutes, and gave me a great quote just for the service call. He showed up at my house that afternoon and gave me prices on the two possible issues, the relay and the compressor. He was honest and said the compressor would be very expensive and if it was that I should just buy another fridge and pay only for the service call.
Turned out it was the relay. RIck was again very honest that it could help my fridge last another few years, or it may be only a few weeks. My mother was also very pleased with him, as she was the one at my home when he arrived. I spoke on the phone to him from my work and he explained everything patiently and clearly. An hour later, he was done, as it was the relay.
Overall, extremely pleased with his service, and more than reasonable price, I paid almost half of other quiotes I got over the phone. They say you get what you pay for, but I am so pleased with RIck's work and his prices. I will be sure to call Rick again for any servicing my appliances need. If I could give him more than a 10 I would!!
