After calling several plumbers who seemed to want to waste my time by insisting on an in-home estimate for a simple toilet installation, Alex and one other cooperated with a price over the phone. I understand if there's problems the job may cost more, but can't understand those who won't give a basic price idea over the phone. For this reason, as well as his flexible hours to come after our work day was done so we didn't have to take time off work (unlike the others who not only wanted to waste time for an in-home estimate, but then didn't offer later hours so have to take time off work on top of that!), and a price that was respectful for both Alex and us, I called Alex on Sunday to come over the next evening. Many plumbers didn't even answer their phones on Sunday. They snoozed, they lost. Alex kept everything clean, putting on booties as soon as he came in the house. He completed the job quickly and professionally with the toilet we had already purchased. He also was glad to take a quick look in our kitchen and 2 other bathrooms for a couple of quick questions we had. Alex will be our plumber of choice to call next time due to these reasons. Rick came to our home because of water leaking through our dining room ceiling from the upstairs bathroom. He quickly ensured we got the services to open the ceiling and start the drying process, and replaced the leaking copper piping for the sink cold water supply and toilet water supply that was bent and corroded as well as added shut offs to our sink and toilet. In addition, he also detailed the current piping "renovations" done by previous owners of my home were incorrect and we also had these updated along with faucet move and new installation in the master bath. Everything is now leak free and I have greater peace of mind with respect to the integrity of the upstairs plumbing. Rick was extremely pleasant to work with, and takes great pride in his work and ensuring everything is installed correctly, all the while explaining what he needs to do and why, and ensuring all (which were many) questions and concerns were answered. He also took time in demonstrating through diagrams so systems and how they work are easily understood. Even providing history as to how houses like mine were built and the challenges that occurred with this construction period provided interesting background as to why certain things in my house are the way they are. Rick has a strong focus on customer service and this is evident both with his thorough work and pleasant demeanour. I highly recommend Rick's service, and Mr. Rooter in general. We have had great service in all jobs they have done in our home.

Yesterday morning I discovered my top mount freezer was defrosted. I called in to 3 services on Homestars and left messages. Another called me back and gave an afternoon time frame, but a very high service call fee + and quite a bit more when I described the problem and what he felt the fix was. Rick called me back within 15 minutes, and gave me a great quote just for the service call. He showed up at my house that afternoon and gave me prices on the two possible issues, the relay and the compressor. He was honest and said the compressor would be very expensive and if it was that I should just buy another fridge and pay only for the service call. Turned out it was the relay. RIck was again very honest that it could help my fridge last another few years, or it may be only a few weeks. My mother was also very pleased with him, as she was the one at my home when he arrived. I spoke on the phone to him from my work and he explained everything patiently and clearly. An hour later, he was done, as it was the relay. Overall, extremely pleased with his service, and more than reasonable price, I paid almost half of other quiotes I got over the phone. They say you get what you pay for, but I am so pleased with RIck's work and his prices. I will be sure to call Rick again for any servicing my appliances need. If I could give him more than a 10 I would!!

My mother Shirley, recently bought a small bachelor apartment. Little did we know, that while the renovated unit looked nice on the outside, on the inside it was a bit of a lemon! A few months after moving in, the bathroom vanity started leaking one morning. That night, the neighbour downstairs compounded the problem, saying there were water marks on her ceiling!! Being the worry wart that I am, we called a couple of plumbers to review the situation. The first left us with a cold feeling, but are we glad that we called Michael from Water Works. He certainly put my mind at ease, both about the damage to my mother's unit and the one below. From the initial consultation to the finished product, Michael took time, care and professionalism. He did a great job with replacing both the bathroom vanity and sink and toilet. We can now rest easy knowing that my mother's unit will not leak water, and we have a toilet that the company challenges us to plug! (Although we won't take them up on that!) All through the ordeal, Michael was warm and reassuring. He does professional work that will last. We are very pleased with Michael's service. As a bonus, he has a great sense of humour and will keep you laughing as well! Rosanna, whom I spoke with numerous times in booking Michael's services, was wonderful as well! Overall, you will not be disappointed with Water Works, they are one of the few personal and caring home services left out there!
