Due to the good reviews here on HomeStars, we called Ian to come and quote us on the installation of some under-cabinet task lighting in the kitchen, and moving an electrical outlet. He returned our call promptly, and came out to provide a quote the very next day. When he came around, he was very friendly and professional and knowledgeable. We booked him to come and do the job, and he was great about making himself available around our kitchen renovation schedule. When it came to doing the work for us, he showed up bright and early, did a fabulous job, and even took a while extra to look at another issue we wanted some advice/direction on. Ian is definitely a pleasure to do business with; he takes the time to explain things in easy terms, and seems to genuinely care about keeping things affordable for your budget. Customer service is obviously something he places high value on, and we very much appreciated everything! ... (I had wanted to post this review much sooner, but we had some family circumstances that threw us a bit of a wrench, so my apologies for the delay!)

Ian was fast and efficient. We are very satisfied and are now asking him to price out additional lighting for our living room. We are confident that it will be a positive experience!

Right from the first meeting Ian seemed like very knowledgable and honest guy. His quote was very reasonable and work impeccable. I would recommend Ian to everyone as he is such a good electrician. We will definitely use him again in the future.

This is my second review for this company. Ian has been back a few times now, as we keep adding more and more pot lights, new electrical outlets for sconces, outdoor outlets for remotely operated blinds, clean-up from other electricians that he noticed were not appropriate and made sure that everything is to code. He is patient and very well learned in the sound systems and smart T.V. systems. He did all the electrical for the huge media centre that is coming in the end of this week. He offered to be here to ensure that he is the only one that manages the electrical, rather than the cabinet installers. He takes much pride in his work. Ian is never in a rush to get out. He does not waste time either. He is here when he says he will be. I would never use anyone else and would recommend him to anyone. You will not be sorry. Thank you once again Ian. We bought a house and there was some electrical work that needed to be done to bring it up to code and for safety. Various things were not grounded properly, there were some overcrowded junction boxes and dead wires, etc. I sent Ian our home inspection report for a quick overview, and he came in and took a look around as well and gave me a rough estimate on what would need to be done and pointed out many quick fixes that could be done to save us money. After we agreed he went ahead and did all the work as promised. We had some follow-up questions a few days later and he was happy to follow-up and answer them. Overall I'm quite happy with his work and would happily hire him for other projects or recommend him to anyone.

The only negative I have is that he often showed up a little later than we agreed upon, although to be fair, he always called ahead and let us know and it wasn't really a problem for us.

We have used Ian several times now for pot light installation, light fixture replacement and installing new light switches. He is fast, responsive, professional, and honest. He gives you the prices ahead of time, with no surprise costs at the end of the project and his prices are competitive. He has a sense of responsibility for his projects which you don't get from other contractors: he installed some light switches which caused flickering of the lights, he contacted the manufacturer to seek a solution, and when the manufacturer confirmed their product was defective, he came back and replaced the switches at no cost! His is truly trustworthy and professional, knowledgeable and friendly! We will continue to use him for any and every electrical work!

Ian responded immediately. He is so professional. He gives the price over the phone for something as simple as the above. He came on the date and at the time he said. He went about his work diligently and left the place clean when he was done. He did not complain to us when he found a glitch in trying to fish the wiring. Nor did he ask for more money, such as other contractors do. He knows what he is doing and he is a great electrician. I will not hire anyone other than Ian.

I recently moved into a fairly new home with a very small laundry home. My wish was to stack my washer/dryer but when I aligned them for placement the electric outlet was too low and need to be placed higher on the wall.

My original estimates arranged for a $60 fee just to come out and view the situation to $250-$750 to complete the job.

Once I contacted Ian Fry at Inteck, he immediately gave me an appointment within two days and finished the job with an amazing rate and unbelievable service.

His awareness of my urgency for this matter in my opinion was extremely grateful and I will never have another electrical job completed in my house by anyone else

Ian arrived right when he said he would and he did an excellent job.
I found him to be very knowledgeable and helpful. I was curious about what he was doing and why, so I asked him a lot of questions. He has a great attitude which I find is hard to come by these days.
I asked him for some extra business cards to hand out to people I know, so I would obviously recommend him to everyone.

Ian did a great job. We are very happy with the work and thought his rates were very reasonable. We will definitely be recommending him to family and friends and will contact him again for future jobs.
