Never received what I ordered

Back in September 2015, I ordered a Red Hood helmet as I was planning to do a web-series. If I waited on 4th wall design, I would have never started this project.
Even after numerous emails and Facebook private messages, I never got an answer, no info on were t package was and, of course, no money back.
The fact that you have to waited 3 months for your order avoid any action on PayPal.
So, soon, my order will be 2 years old and, by far, this is the worst online shopping experience I've ever had.

Rec room renovation

Thomas was recommended to us by a very popular Toronto designer who we trusted, so we hired him, which was a massive mistake. Our project which should have taken 6 months tops, has now taken over a year and we are still at it because we are trying to finish it ourselves. Everything Thomas did has to be redone, but most importantly the ESA ( Electrical Safety Standards Division) became involved because Thomas's electricians (who were working in our home) did not have a permit nor were they licensed. The ESA has launched a full investigation against Thomas. The city inspectors are also involved because not one permit, even for the plumbing, was applied for by Thomas, so if something happens electrically or otherwise, your insurance company will not warranty the claim. Thomas also could not bring any of his own trades, but instead was finding his workers ( who he wasn't paying) at wood stores or tiles stores by hiring anyone who left their business card behind and who gave him the cheapest rate for their work. We ended up firing Thomas and if you are smart, you won't even consider hiring him. He is a total disaster and should go back to his previous job, which was working as a waiter, but maybe he was fired from that too, which wouldn't surprise me.

Total Home Gut/Reno

I echo Vince's comments above. Our story was pretty much the same in that the project started off well enough, but then went down hill fast. It took about twice as long as it should have (12 months instead of 7). Thomas at 4th Wall lacks the two greatest attributes in this business. Organization and Communication skills. I often asked for revised project budgets and was told "It was not convenient for him" at this time. The sub-trades complained of not being paid although Thomas always had a retainer on me meaning subs should be paid for work done. He was always late and never apologetic. He was very aloof in that your problems and stresses didn't matter. The mudding and tape job in my home is just deplorable and even after paying the crew in full, could not get them back to repair the work. His site project manager was hired right off the demolition crew that gutted my house. He was not prepared for a project of this magnitude and never will be.

Kitchen and Bathroom Renovation

Overall, not impressed with what I received for my money. Thomas was great in the beginning and seemed very trustworthy. However, as the project was nearing completion it became hard to contact him regarding my discontents.

Where to begin? I have notified and tried to get Thomas to address all of the following issues multiple times over a long while. He refuses to return my calls and email messages. Here is a list of most of the problems:

- Multiple appointments cancelled postponed
- Job took about twice as long as expected
- House was a total mess (rooms not sealed properly before work began)
Uneven wall tile in my bathroom. Thomas insists this is my fault for some reason. I have had multiple professionals look at it and they all say it could have been done properly.
Tile grout done incorrectly and is now crumbled away
Loose/Cracking tiles in kitchen
Poor finish where cabinet gable ends meet floor/ceiling
No soft close kitchen cabinet doors
Kitchen cabinet doors hung unevenly
Pile of dirt left in backyard
Materials left in basement
Questionable duct work
Questionable electrical (wires not hung properly in basement)
Questionable plumbing (loose sink drain pipe)
New windows installed without flashing
Baseboards not painted in rooms that were painted

Please think twice about using his services.
