The Anything Guys

We consulted several companies to provide estimates to remove and replace a deteriorating 50-foot long wooden retaining wall in a part of the back garden. In our research, we were referred to Tom and The Anything Guys (TAG) by trusted friends. Tom responded quickly and freely offered expert advice and suggestions regarding how to improve our initial proposals. He then provided a detailed estimate for the work, an estimate that was competitive with other companies.

Complicating the work timeline were the heat of July 2016 and the need for TAG to provide and work with mechanical earthmoving equipment in a very confined space. TAG tradesmen were amazing in their capability to handle the earthmoving equipment with precision (including passing the earthmover/backhoe through an existing arbour with literally one-half an inch of clearance) and the subsequent accompanying wheelbarrow work required by tradesmen in the heat of summer to remove and replace a huge quantity of earth.

Once underway, based on recommendations from Tom and Andre, it was mutually agreed that part of the remediation would be better accomplished by removing the existing adjacent lawn and replacing it with new sod. The additional cost required beyond the original estimate was reasonable, and the work done was also excellent and done within the original timeline. Throughout, Tom and Andre continued to provide detailed explanations of how the work was progressing, including further recommendations for improving our original proposals.

All of the TAG employees were pleasant, efficient and professional throughout. Final cleanup and remediation (including arisings such as siding repairs) were done quickly and professionally. The TAG staff members were always on time each day, and were easy to contact by phone or e-mail. In spite of arisings, TAG professionals were able to complete the necessary work within a reasonable timeframe.

We are now in discussion with TAG for additional paving stone and asphalt work, and hope to be able to again engage TAG services for this additional task.
