Pick a contractor

We called up a few contractors to give us quotes at the end of March. He came into our house well prepared. He showed us a window sample and a catalog of different door styles. My wife and I asked lots of questions about how his team would perform the work. Eric patiently explained the procedures. We then decided to choose his company for our windows and front door replacement on March 25th. We requested to have the replacement done before July. He honestly told us that he might not be able to make it during the pandemic situation. He promised us that he would try his best. We completely understood that. He did deliver everything on June 15th.

A day before the replacement

On June 14th, one of his staff called us to schedule a time. She told us lots of details and things that we had to be aware. She also reminded us to call the alarm company to make an appointment to hook up our alarm wiring again. (N.B: I did call my alarm company to put my alarm system to test mode during replacement period and made an appointment to have the alarm company to hook up all the wires for us again. The process was so smooth that there was not a single hassle to us.) This type of service was small but critical to the customers.

Windows and door replacement day

Two gentlemen arrived at 8ish am on June 15th. They started working until like 4ish pm. They efficiently and effectively shared their workload. One of them worked on the ground floor while another one was working on the 1st floor. There was not much idle time except their minimum break time. Everything was done properly. We could tell that they were very professional in windows and doors replacement. They even mopped our floors after they completed their work! The workmanship was very neat. Our neighbor kept coming to look at our front door after they left!
(N.B.: we did not expect them to come in with any floor covering mats or cloths. So, we covered the 1st floor ourselves. They did come in with cloths to cover small areas right underneath each window. That was a surprised for us!)

All in all, we greatly appreciated the work from Crown Windows and Doors. We had an outstanding experience with Eric and his team. Their price was not the cheapest. However, their service, attitude, workmanship and detail-orientated working style made up what we paid for. We do not have any single hesitation to recommend them to our friends and neighbors.
(N.B.: One of the window screen was not at the right size. They brought it back to us on June 18th without us reminding them.)
