Fresh Air Furnace Services

I had a groupon coupon for fresh air furnaces services, and I could not be more happy with the service. The Technician was extremely knowledgeable about my furnace, and actually gave me a few tips on proper maintenance of my system. The dust in my house is considerably less and smells fresh since I got my system sanitized. The man's name was Mike (I believe) and he was very friendly and courteous, my house is a bit messy as i have three kids but he and his colleague had no problem working around the clutter. Would definitely recommend this company.

Had a groupon coupon. Previous reviewer was correct about fresh air only concerned about the upsell. Cleaner Mike tried to upsell me on a exhaust cleaning for $160 on my rental property. I could not attend the cleaning but my tenants father was there. Mike told me by phone there was bad carbon buildup and this could put carbon monoxide into the house etc. and it needed to be clean. Fear tactics. Mike told me $160 but this service would be good for 5 years. I told Mike I had this done 2-3 years ago, that I doubt it needed it and it sounded like he was just trying to upsell me something I did not need which he denied. Fortunatley for me my renters father was there for the appointment and I asked Mike to show this buildup to the father and have him call me. He is a contractor and not an the turnip Mike was hoping for so I was confident he would tell me the truth and as I expected I was told that this service was not needed, that the pipe was just a little bit dirty and he felt it was safe for his daughter to stay there. He also told me that I wasted my money on this cleaning as the Technic and equipment they use are not adequate and they do not even block off the other vents to ensure good suction for the vent that is getting clean. Do Not Waste you money on this company. Obviously dishonest company and not a proper clean. Buyer Beware!!!

I found the service men to be friendly and courteous, and I was very happy with the job they did at my house. It was an old house, that I recently purchased that I think may have never had a cleaning. For a dirty job, they still kept a smile on their face. I would definitely recommend them to someone else.

Buyer Beware!! I used a Groupon to have Fresh Air Furnaces come in and clean my furnace & vents. The techs who arrived immediately tried forcing additional costs/upgrades down my throat (extra vents/high efficiency) and were more interested in maximizing their charge than getting the job done. As soon as they left, my condensate pump started vibrating & running extremely loud. I called and spoke to Alex, who told me the pump was incorrectly mounted and to 'stick a piece of paper' in between the pump and furnace to fix. I asked if they could send someone or if I needed to find someone else, and his response was "we could help, or you could probably go elsewhere". I wanted these guys to fix it given the problem started once they worked on the system. Alex became extremely defensive and hung up on me!

Lesson Learned - Groupons may seem cheap, but there are added costs that you need to be aware of in the fine print, and expect these guys to force additional costs down your throat. Next time I would gladly pay extra for better quality of service (and friendlier staff).

Yesterday was the second time I've had my furnace cleaned by Fresh Air Furnace Services. I's an older furnace and I get my furnace cleaned every year. Chris was the technician was very friendly and capable in what he was doing. He did a good job with cleaning my furnace. However I was not impressed with his assistant (Chandal) and noticed Chris had to stop what he was doing several times and show him how to clean/vacuuming the ducts which didn't seem too complicated. I'm not sure if it was a lack of training or just his bad attitude. I've already recommended Chris and Fresh Air Furnace Cleaning Services to some friends and will definitely have them back next year.

This review is for work that was done March 2014. Fresh Air was actually recommended to me by another Furnace company. I had bought a groupon for the other company but was not able to use it due to the location of my townhouse (the required hosing would not reach). Because Fresh Air uses a "portable" system they were able to accommodate my location. Fresh Air also gave me a discount to match the coupons out there. They were also able to accommodate my tight timeline, as I had waited 3 weeks for the other Furnace company appointment I was running out of time as I was listing my townhouse for sale. I would use them again. They cleaned the ducts, chimney and did a "non-chemical" clean of the vents. I now feel completely comfortable that the new owners will not have any issues.

Our furnace had not been cleaned for couple years. So we searched on the internet and we found good reviews about this company. Booking was very simple and quick and we did not have to wait longer to get it done. Operator was very efficient and giving lots of info about how and what he was going to do. He also helped moving things for no cost! He finished cleaning work in less than hour with good quality job. This company is highly recommended.

These guys where the worst, they nicked the drywall, bent registers so they did not have to remove them, and worse they have a crappy system that does not exhaust outside, so the house had a layer of dust. I am quite suspect that my furnace and duct cleaning was done thoroughly. I would not have them back if they paid me.

The service providers were great, friendly,on-time, quality work.
The bad side is the marketing. This is no better than a BAIT and SWITCH operation. The quoted price reflected 1 furnace and 10 vents. We understood this. Nobody asked us when we booked what our requirements were, that Air Conditioning, High Efficiency, when Chimney was last cleaned, etc. etc.. are all at an extra cost. My $95 quote turned into $500.
I don't begrudge the service, and had this all been explained up front I probably would have sought out a competitor and if the rate was comparable I would have taken the service.
What makes this a bait and switch is that all other costs were hidden until the serviceman showed up. If I had rejected the service, I'd be charged a $100 service charge. If I had taken the minimum service, I'd still have to book another appointment (time and inconvenience) to get the rest done.
I find it a little suspicious that the 'real' charges aren't discussed until you are already committed. This is a bad way to do business. The most frustrating aspect was I wanted to discuss this with a manager, but my call was never returned.

I got a Groupon for 10 vents Air-duck and Furnace Cleaning and they arrived right on time for the cleaning appointment toady. Very professional and friendly, work efficiently and let us know any issues they see. Charged us extra for additional vents and high efficiency furnace just like how its stated in the Groupon and no more. Very happy with their service. The Admin lady called a few days before to confirm appointment which was nice too. :) Thanks!
