I have dealt with Peace Arch and I am in the unfortunate situation of being without heating in my house at times.
The mid-efficiency furnace at my house has LED codes that tells you why it is not working.
On Tuesday, November 10, 2015, I emailed Peace Arch
"Hi Folks: You have installed a HWT on 209A St. I have a new problem it is a Control Board for Bryant Plus 80 two speed, Model 331AAV024065, that has to be replaced. I have got that diagnose from the LED code, status from my furnace. What will be the cost to replace that?"
They me back the same day that the board to be replaced would be "$150 plus $190 labor".
On November 13, they dropped by told me told me the furnace is working fine and control does not have to be changed. They charged me $300 for the board (as I asked for it, could not be returned) and $50 labor, and you advised me I do not need an invoice.
On November 16, furnace broke down again, I sent text to them asking it to be fixed, no reply.
On November 25, I sent video to them of the LED code showing control board to be replaced, no reply
On November 26, I phoned them to discuss. They advised me that you would drop by the next day.
On November 27th, Peace Arch dropped by, advised me that it does not need control and was the flame sensor. This was cleaned, and advised that it should be good. I paid $80 cash for trip.
On November 28, the furnace broke down again,
This was it for me dealing with Peace Arch. I felt either they did not know how to replace this control, or they picked up the wrong one.
I went to Mexico December 3, to 10, and I have to turn off my furnace for this time, as it was not operating proper.
When I came back, I had another company come out to see what this problem is. "They advised me the control was not changed as Peace Arch supplied the wrong one." This trip by another heating contractor cost me $156.00
What we have here is a heating contractor who has not supplied the right control, and because of this was telling me on their first trip my furnace was not needing repairs. On their second trip that it was a different problem which it was not.
By the time we add up the $350, I paid for the first trip, $80 for the second trip, $156 for another. And now I have the cost of buying another control, and the cost of having it installed. I am half way to the price of a new furnace.
The long and the short of it, is you cannot do business with this company. What they have done is not right, and I am the guy without heat to prove it. If you have any follow up questions feel free to ask.
