First I have to mention this is my first and only experience with the furnace/heating industry. I called for a price and was told $149. The technician came when they said he would. Diagnosed the problem was the ignitor (thanks to the Internet I thought that too prior to calling). The ignitor is worth $19 on Amazon. 45 minutes later the technician fixed the furnace and gave me my invoice. $500. THAT’S RIGHT - $500 FOR 45 MINUTES. In my state of shock I paid it. After reviewing the invoice here are the charges: $149 “Repair and Service fee”, $119 “labour after first hour”, $69 “pickup charge” and $139 “Ignitor Universal”. Total with taxes $499.80. Now….the technician was at my house less than one hour (I have the credit card receipt of the time), he had the part in his van outside my house and I got hosed on the price (which is my own fault for being ignorant). I called their customer service to explain the situation and was agreed upon to credit $119 “labour after first hour” since he was only there 45 minutes. I have received my credit. I am not sure I will use them again.
