I had a tanked gas water heater disconnected and a tankless heater installed. They showed up on time on the day assigned and worked until late in the evening to get the job done. The cost at the end of the day was the cost in the bid with no surprises. The tech was open and honest about on going maintenance (every couple of years).

I would highly recommend them for a furnace or water heater install.

I was referred to Home Climate by a friend of mine. I used them to install a heat recovery ventilator for my home. They were quick and efficient. There were a few times we had to reschedule due to the weather. On the day of the installation, the installer could have used a second set of company hands. As the homeowner, I was asked to help fish wires through the wall for installation of the HRV controller. I didn't mind helping but could see how it might be a problem for other potential clients. Overall 9/10 stars.

I had a 26 year old furnace which was operating erratically due to several worn-out parts. Mat came to give me a price on a new one, and due to the condition of the old one, moved appointments to schedule an install two days later (in a true emergency, a single day turnaround would have been possible).

He showed up with an assistant, and they did a thorough, methodical job, spending most of the day in the house. A few minor issues were corrected a week later and all is well with the world.

The brand of furnace (Ruud) that they are selling reviews well and makes a solid impression with all the gadgetry you could wish for (fancy thermostat, wifi etc) available, unlike some other furnaces about which it's very hard to find anything with Google, or which look flimsy and badly designed with the covers off.

Mat did not try to upsell me. The old furnace was a single stage, 75K BTU/h or nothing. I decided on my own to upgrade to a two-stage model and I like it - being right-sized, it needs to run only on the low stage to maintain temperature in the house, and this is much quieter than the old one. Don't expect to be hard sold on a top-of-the-line modulating furnace here, unless you really want one.

I'm a geek who really likes to know how his house systems work and who's not above fiddling with dip switches to tweak things to my liking. Mat is just fine with this and took the time to explain everything even though this added to the install time.

Mat had been recommended through word-of-mouth (mutual friends) which is how I like to find my contractors, and being a small outfit, the nice guy who comes to make the sale is also the guy who comes to do the work, unlike with the big outfits.

I found Home Climate Pro online by Groupon. I purchased the coupon for a furnace and maintenance check. They found that my furnace needed to be replaced as the heat exchanger had been cracked. They helped me pick out a furnace and talked me through all the different options. They installed my new furnace the next day. They were very clean and had placed blankets everywhere so as to not make a mess.I was offered space heaters to use that night. The owner called me a few days later to check in and make sure every thing is still good. They have also been in touch with me about the rebates for 2016. I also want to mention that I spoke to several people to compare the price, everyone noted that I got a great deal from Home Climate Pros!

This is a very professional company and it is just a pleasure working with Mat and Mike. Christine takes care of scheduling appointments. She is fast in getting back after leaving a message.
They installed a new furnace and humidifier last month and everything from quote to installation and follow-up has been very smooth.
Mat serviced our old furnace last year and was very open about whether a new furnace was needed. He indicated that our old furnace maybe had 3 more years, but never pushed us into buying a new furnace.
Christine made sure that our Hydro rebate request got put in quickly.
Any issues found during installation were fixed by Mat and Mike. They removed the old furnace and cleaned up all of their stuff.
What we found as well is that both Mat and Mike were responsive and communicative during installation -- something that doesn't always happen with other contractors.
We definitely recommend this company.

Hired Home Climate Pro to install a new furnace after a gas tech discovered a cracked heat exchanger on my existing furnace, Thursday morning the gas was turned off to my furnace, by Saturday morning Matt had us up and running with a new furnace.

The work was done quickly and professionally, they removed the old furnace and made sure everything was properly cleaned up.

Matt took the time to show me what was wrong with the old furnace and give me a run through of the new furnace features.

I hired Matt of Home Climate pro to repair an air conditioner line, and recharge the system a 2 months ago. Matt was prompt to book in the repair. Over the phone, the price was estimated at $500-600. Matt was unable to complete the work in one service visit, and said his scheduler would call me in the evening to book a time in the next day or two to wrap things up.I confirmed with Matt at this point, that the repair was still going to be between $500-600.
His scheduler finally called me several days later to book an appointment. Matt was unable to show up at the scheduled time, and called me to reschedule. Matt did ultimately come back to finish, and I have no issues with the workmanship to date. The bill came in at $710, with no communication from Matt as to why an increase in price.

Coles notes version - The repair was dragged out over more than a week, and the bill came in high. Ultimately, this company needs to work on communication, and not make promises it cant keep.

I have no issues with the work Matt did, just the poor communication.

We have replaced our furnace and an A/C Unit with Home Climate Pro. Before choosing them, I had called three companies, and the service and the price point was optimal for me. Mat came last year to replace the furnace. The service was courteous, he has great attention to detail, kept the place as clean as possible, and took the time to answer all my questions. When the time came to add a A/C Unit, I immediately called Home Climate Pro for a quote. The price was very good and he could come within the next two weeks. Overall, I am very pleased with Home Climate Pro and would strongly recommend them to anyone looking for GREAT customer service, good price, and a friendly installer.

Christine was quick in returning my call to schedule an appt for Mat to go out and do the yearly service on the AC and Furnace in my rental property. Very good customer service and I would highly recommend them to my family and friends.

​Trying to find an HVAC company that provides professional, courteous, honest and trustworthy service is a difficult and frustrating task, but that is exactly what you get with HCP. All the other positive reviews here attest to this as well.

They've already completed two projects for me, in servicing my AC and installing a heater in my garage that's tied to my hot water tank as the heat source. For the heater, they took the time to provide several options with pricing, pros/cons and their recommendation that would best meet my needs. I couldn't be happier and already have other projects planned for them.

Shop around all you want, but do yourself a favor and make sure to give Mat a chance!
