I met with Brian in person to discuss the job, and felt extremely comfortable immediately. His suggestions for how to fix the existing poor wiring job were great, and I never felt pressured to perform unnecessary work. Options were given for a range of prices, and the final work we decided on has worked out great so far. Tim, the Electrician who performed the work, was courteous and polite, and was even able to look over another electrical concern free of charge, even to the point of installing a light fixture I was having trouble with.

I will definitely use them in the future, and recommend them to friends.

We've lived in our house 35 years and only in the last 3 years have we required the services of an electrician. Home-Pro had impressed us on an initial visit with their customer service, so when we needed more extensive work recently, Home-Pro was called. We appreciate their very friendly service, and the fact that the job was quoted on a tablet by the on-site electrician in an understandable format. After our approval, the work was performed efficiently and professionally in accordance with our expectations of cost.

There is a comfort in knowing if we need household electrical service we can rely on Home-Pro Electric, and we know we can based on experience.

We had a good experience with HomePro services, it was the second time that this company comes to our house for electrical problems and they offert a promt, polite, clean and assertive services. For obviously reasons I do recomend them to my family and friends and for sure I will call them again for futures electrical problems, that I hope it never happens again.

This repair cost $459 even though it took only one-and-a-half hours and required no materials. It was 4.5 kilometres from the shop, and yet the rate included a $9 fuel surcharge (even though gas prices are currently low). When we first called about the bill, Brian told us it took a "chunk" of time. When checking with the tenants (who have no reason to misrepresent the time), we were told that the electrician was there from 10:00 to 11:30. When we said we would write a negative review, Brian said that he would respond that the tenant was not telling the truth, even before he checked with his electrician or the GPS which he says he puts on the truck. We are very, very experienced working with electricians who normally charge $75 - $100/hour. We own multiple buildings which we have renovated on a continuous basis, where we get quality work from all our service providers. The people who have given positive reviews on this website--if they were charged this much--obviously do not have a good idea of what electricians charge. $200 is more than sufficient for a small job like this. Yet, we were charged $459--bottom line--that's $270+/hour before tax.

This is the first negative review we have ever written on a service provider but Brian was angry and insulting--and only offered to reduce the bill $79--when we expressed our concerns (saying every other electrician was a "Cheap Charlie" who do not do good work even though we have always been pleased with our former electricians but simply went with Home-Pro since they answered the phone on Saturday and agreed to come on Tuesday morning). Now I know why they can provide quick service. They are not busy with people who are in the know or willing to wait.

Because we forgot some components, an additional service call was required resulting in a higher bill - our fault entirely. Brian is prepared to reschedule things to assist the client - much appreciated. We will definitely use Home-Pro again.

Typically, I don't write reviews, but this is the second time we hired Home-Pro Electric to do some work on our house. Overall, I was impressed with the service, would hire them in a heartbeat, and recommend them to anyone else.

Problem: Electrical wiring issue with our upstairs bedroom. Previous homeowner installed a dimmer switch that controlled electrical sockets in an adjacent room.

Tim was our electrician that came to our home, he was prompt, polite, and courteous. It was nice that the company didn't give me some silly 4 to 8 hour window as to when they would be arriving. They said 8:00am, and Tim was on the doorstep shortly thereafter. His attention to detail and service were impeccable. For example, I called to let them know I have a 1-year-old who would likely be sleeping at this time, and Tim knocked gently on the door instead of using the doorbell. He covered his shoes when he came inside and moved quietly through the house with his equipment. He then took his time to tell me about the company, show his electrician's license, and looked at the problem. He gave me a quote and and showed me how he came up with the number. As a female, it was nice to see a standard invoice template with straight forward pricing on how much work costs. I'm sure for this level of service you pay a little more than other places, but you know it's quality. Tim was in efficient, and was in-and-out by 9:30.

Homepro Electric is the only company we will use moving forward. Brian and his staff were friendly and knowledgeable. They treated us like valued clients. It felt as if we had been using them for years. Our technician was Tim. He was professional, knowledgeable and prompt; a true tradesman. The job was completed in the time quoted and at the price agreed upon. We will only be recommending the Hompro Electric Team to our family and friends.

My electric water heater broke down and I was looking to replace it with a gas one from the city, however I needed to get an outlet installed first. I contacted Home-Pro and talked to Brian who managed to get an electrician to my place the following afternoon. He kept in contact with me as I was anxious to get the work done ASAP.
Tim was courteous and professional, and did a great job. He even replaced a light cover that the plumbers broke when installing my water heater! Much appreciated :)
I admit I was a bit sticker shocked at the price as I have never had an electrician in to do work before, but it was done well and to code. Overall a job well done, and I have hot water again!

I had a pot light that was problematic, one call and I had a guy out next day to fix the issue quickly. He explained up front the cost and explained what he was doing to fix the issue. Electricians are never cheap but this one did a good job and I would happily call on them again to do future work.

The Big box store I bought my celing fan from claimed online that they did installs. I bought my ceiling fan and when I went to set up the install, they had no electrictions available in the near or distant future that would do any small projects. After some googling, I settled on calling HomePro electric. They were extremely accommodating from the first phone call. We were able to iron out all the pre set up details and they had no problems setting me up with an electriction within a few days. Tim was my assigned technician, he arrived at my door on time and was very courteous. He was able to provide a quick estimate and install the ceiling fan without any issues fairly quickly. Totally recommend them, their service was phenomenal!
