Tech showed up the same day. They were able to schedule an evening 6-7 appt which was perfect.
Tech (Vlad) called at 6:20 to reconfirm and showed up in time.
So full marks for timeliness and professionalism. He was able to to listen to the symptoms and isolate it to the timer that was acting up on the refrigerator. While he did not have the part on him, he said he would put the order in and hoping for a permanent fix next week. Till then, he advised us on a workaround to temporarily resolve the problem if it recurred, which was very nice. All my previous service calls (and I have had many) were dealt with by Sears. Dealing with these guys is such a pleasant upgrade. Never going back to Sears unless its a warranty situation. They were able to source the part and setup a follow-on service in a couple of days on a Saturday evening. Again arrived on time and completed the work professionally. The $60 first visit fee was applied towards the final bill also.
