I absolutely have no hesitation in hiring Chris again to do a home inspection. I have highly recommended Chris as a home inspector to my friends, family, and colleagues. Chris was superb in the services he provided when he did an inspection before I purchased my condo. Well worth it! With his expertise and years of experience doing inspections, I was impressed with his work and the detailed report he provided. Also, he was able to get into some difficult areas of the building that would be relevant in his report to me. My parents also hired Chris to do an inspection before they bought a condo. They were pleased with Chris’ professionalism and how detailed he was with the inspection and report. In summary, both my parents and I were grateful to have Chris do two separate home inspections, and you can tell that he enjoys and takes pride in his work.

Chris did a very thorough inspection pointing out everything that was up to code and the few minor problems that existed which was not expensive to fix. His receptionist is a very charming and helpful person in every way. I would recommend HOME SWEET HOME to anyone thinking of a home inspection.

Appalling service .... outside was reported on with accuracy but his sloppy attention to detail has cost me a lot of money. From a toilet that had to be replaced because of a leaking seal, all the main drains/ plugs not functioning in any of the washrooms, a kitchen tap that was broken and only sprayed water all over the place, the underfloor heating not working in the master bathroom, a window in the master bathroom that has serious seal leaking issues..a garberator that was broken.. the list goes on and on. You have been warned!

I hired Chris to complete a home maintenance review of my house. The report was very thorough. It provided a detailed summary of the “current state” of my house and I have used the report to ensure that my biggest investment (my home) is well maintained. I think all homeowners should have these home maintenance reviews completed by a qualified professional every 5 years. Chris, of Home Sweet Home Inspections, was great to work with and I am a very satisfied customer.

Hiring Chris Stockdale was a terrible mistake. The 59 page report that he e-mailed me was nearly identical to my neighbour's (also negligent) report. He missed rotten structure, windows that don't open or close properly, a leaky roof and a hole in the roof, a bathroom fan that vents into the ceiling (not outside like it should, so it would remove moisture) asbestos in my air returns and a below grade foundation. He called my granite counter tops "arbourite (plastic laminate)" and told me my front door faces West, when it faces North. Do not hire this guy!!! I am now in a lawsuit that will take years to settle and is wrecking my life. He tells me he stands by his inspection report- even though after I showed him the rot he said "well to see that I would have had to get down on my hands and knees, and it was raining that day if you remember.....".
